Club Tijuana Beats Club America 1-0 in Home Opener | La Prensa San Diego

TIJUANA (Jan. 10, 2013)- Cristian Pellerano scored a late goal to give Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente a 1-0 win against visiting Club America Friday night in a Week 2 match of the LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Clausura tournament.

Pellerano sent in a rolling shot from just inside the penalty box and into the back of the net to seal the win for the Xoloitzcuintles in coach Cesar Farias’ first match at Estadio Caliente. Pellerano’s scored off a pass by Edgar Castillo from left to right. The pass bounced off Club America defender back to a wide-open Pellerano, who didn’t hesitate to finish the play. The win in its home opener gives Club Tijuana (1-0-1, 4 points) three more points in the standings.

DWP blames cancer patient for her illness

Cannot like anything like this – in UK becoming the UK of the flick Brazil of years ago.

Pride's Purge

(not satire – it’s the UK today!)

This letter from the Department for Work and Pensions was posted by Chris Nelson on Facebook (click to enlarge):

ewing's sarcoma

According to this letter, the DWP is clearly placing the ‘blame’ for having cancer on the patient herself.

Has the demonisation of welfare claimants in the UK got to the point where we’re blaming cancer patients for their own illnesses now?

London Underground Tube Diary – Going Underground’s Blog

As usual the requirements are simple:

1) Willingness to take trousers off on the Tube

2) Ablility to keep a straight face about it

Full details are on the Facebook page but in a nutshell the plan is to turn up at an allocated spot in Chinatown at 3pm where you will be divided into groups. The aim is to then travel from Leicester Square Tube and go around another seven zone one stops as nonchalantly & casually as possible with no trousers on.

As Rammi one of the organisers says \”You can wear fun underwear if you like, but nothing that screams out, “I wore this because I’m doing a silly stunt.” Wear two pairs of underwear if it makes you feel more comfortable. Don\’t wear anything overly close-fitting (so no thongs, banana hammocks or mankinis) or kilts without anything underneath. We don\’t want people to be disgusted.

We want this event to be fun and safe for everyone, so anybody found to be removing more than their trousers will be kicked off the train and reported to the British Transport Police and station authorities. .\”
