Tory council tried to ‘auction off’ disabled man online to private care companies

Soylent Green invented by Tories!

Pride's Purge

(not satire – it’s the Tories!)

Emma Knight found her local Tory-run council was inviting companies to bid online to look after her 45-year-old brother James after the residential care home he was in was closed because the council claimed it was too expensive.

After making him homeless, Devon County Council then listed James – who suffered brain damage at birth – on a website available to all care companies across the county to invite them to make bids to accommodate him:

Disabled man ‘put up for auction’ on care website

Auctioning off disabled people is not a warning sign of things to come.

It’s a sign of the sorry state we’ve already allowed our once great nation to become.

Erdogan: Palace has 1,150 rooms, not a mere 1,000 | News , Middle East | THE DAILY STAR

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Saturday corrected press reports stating his grandiose new palace had 1,000 rooms, saying it actually boasts 1,150.

“You don’t cut corners when it comes to the prestige” of a nation, Erdogan told a business audience in Istanbul. “Let me tell you it has at least 1,150 rooms, not 1,000 as people say.”

The presidential palace, built in a suburb of the capital Ankara at a cost of around 490 million euros ($615 million), covers some 200,000 square meters – more than 30 times the size of the White House and bigger even than France’s majestic Palace of Versailles.

Chilean Activists Change the Rules of the Game | Inter Press Service

Although many of the protests of 2011 — the year of Occupy Wall Street — have faded, Chilean students and workers managed to win many of their demands. This experience offers important lessons for popular movements struggling for similar goals around the world. By focusing on tangible demands, making broad partnerships, and linking to the larger platform of economic inequality, Chilean protesters changed the rules of the game.

Mothers tell Nigel Farage not to be ‘openly ostentatious’ when being a tit in public

Looking for 10 foot pole that he can stick where the sun does not shine

Pride's Purge

(satire?)

Breastfeeding mothers have said that Nigel Farage should “sit in a corner” rather than openly display his b*ll*cks in an “ostentatious” way.

The women said some people feel “very uncomfortable” and “embarrassed” about seeing a political leader obviously being a tit in public.

The nursing mothers’ comments come not long after the UKIP leader was reportedly given a large napkin to cover his infantile twaddle while feeding his prejudice in an interview today.

When asked if Farage should perhaps sit in a toilet to avoid causing offence to normal people if he wants to feed his chauvinism in public places, one mum came up with another solution:

Why doesn’t he just go f*ck himself,” she said.

Two Sierra Leone Ebola doctors die in one day – Al Arabiya News

Two doctors have died on the same day after contracting Ebola in Sierra Leone, the government said on Saturday, bringing to nine the number of medics killed by the virus.

They are among hundreds of healthcare workers to die treating patients infected in the deadly outbreak, which appears to be stabilizing in Guinea and Liberia but is still spreading at an alarming rate in Sierra Leone.

La Guadalupana: An icon for Mexican Catholics | La Prensa San Diego

Two generations of Mexican Catholics in San Diego will celebrate one of Mexico’s most iconic images in two very different events: La Guada-lupana, or Lady of Guadalupe.

Two events, two views of the same icon, two groups honoring to what many consider to be the Mother of God, although the figure is cause of controversy among non-Catholic Mexicans.

The Confederación Guadalupana from the Diocese of San Diego will host its 49th Guadalupana Procession and Mass on Sunday, Dec. 7th. The procession will leave San Diego City College at 11 a.m., and the mass celebrated by Bishop Gilberto Chavez will be held at Golden Hall, Downtown, at 2 p.m.

Pearl Harbor just a montage, Erdoğan says (4 December 2014) –   BRIGHTENING GLANCE

The United States, Japan and indeed every nation in the world have refused to comment on the Turkish president’s latest statements all stressing that they “do not respond to personal opinions, rantings or ravings,” according to Cihan News Agency. December/04/2014

Shown official photographs of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the president said that they were the equivalent of cheap Japanese plastic toys in a bathtub. “You can’t fool us. We saw those Godzilla movies too, you know.”

CENSORED NEWS: Sen. McCain leads planned theft of Apache lands for copper mining

Congress is poised to give a foreign mining company 2,400 acres of national forest in Arizona that is cherished ancestral homeland to Apache natives. Controversially, the measure is attached to annual legislation that funds the US Defense Department.

This week, the House and Senate Armed Services Committees quietly attached a provision to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would mandate the handover of a large tract of Tonto National Forest to Resolution Copper, a subsidiary of the Australian-English mining company Rio Tinto, which co-owns with Iran a uranium mine in Africa and which is 10-percent-owned by China.
