CENSORED NEWS: U.S. EPA tells Navajo People to Waive their Rights – Gold King spill

The U.S. EPA has been seeking signatures from the Navajo People on Standard Form No. 95 which, if signed, will waive future claims against the U.S. EPA.

“The Federal Government is asking our People to waive their future rights because they know without the waiver they will be paying millions to our People. This is simple; the Feds are protecting themselves at the expense of the Navajo people and it is outrageous.” said President Begaye

Standard Form No. 95 states the following:

I CERTIFY THAT THE AMOUNT OF CLAIM COVERS ONLY DAMAGES AND INJURIES CAUSED BY THE INCIDENT ABOVE AND AGREE TO ACCEPT SAID AMOUNT IN “FULL SATISFACTION AND FINAL SETTLEMENT OF THIS CLAIM”

All signors will be limited to the specific claims filed, and any future claims for injuries caused by the Gold King Mine will be waived.

“The U.S. EPA has admitted they are at fault and stated this disaster will last for decades. This is unacceptable. The damages to our People will be long term and the Navajo Nation will not settle for pennies. I have consistently stated that the Navajo people deserve to be compensated for every penny lost. I will not allow fine print to let U.S. EPA off the hook. The Navajo people deserve better from the United States government.” said President Begaye

The U.S. EPA has been attending local public hearings across the Navajo Nation, in Shiprock, Aneth and Olijato and passing out Standard Form No. 95 to participants urging them to sign the form. The Navajo Nation Attorney General has advised that Form No. 95 will settle for current claims and preclude all future claims from the spill.

“We are also concerned for our neighbors, and whether this Standard Form No. 95 is being circulated in other communities. This is not just hurting the Navajo People but all those in the Four Corners Region. Think twice before you sign this form, we must hold U.S. EPA fully accountable for their negligence.” said Vice-President Nez

Ohh, Girls were walking in the green meadows,

Ohh, Girls were picking up flowers, and making circlets of flowers,

Then they were throwing those circlets in the water,

While throwing the circlets they were saying:

“Who finds this circlet, will find me soon”.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a young man has appeared on the horse,

He has leashed the horse to the tree,

He stepped in the water in the first time – got wet to his knees,

He stepped in the water in the second time – got wet to his waist,

He stepped in the water in the third time –only his hat had popped out of the water,

Just the beaver fur hat had popped up out of the water.

CENSORED NEWS: Al Giordano responds to Project Censored’s Attack on Censored News

Al Giordano, publisher of authentic journalism at Narco News, responds to Project Censored’s hypocritical claim to own the words ‘censored news’ and its threat to file a lawsuit against Censored News

Dear Peter Phillips,

When in 2007 I rejected your Project Censored award I mentioned that I consider your organization a gigantic scam that abuses journalists and ordered you not to use my story in the book with which your organization sought to steal my work to make money for yourselves.

Thank you for, eight years later, having proved me absolutely correct about my judgement of you and your bottom-feeding, fraudulent crew.

Narco News and all our allies through the School of Authentic Journalism will be paying very close attention to whether you continue these threats against journalist Brenda Norrell, and in your attempts to silence and censor her continue. Guys who bandy about words like “cease and desist” are often the ones who need to take their own advice and cease and desist such infantile and greedy attempts to intimidate a journalist, and through her to the Native American movements for which she and Censored News provide unparalleled and vital coverage.

The suggestion that because your name is “Project Censored” that nobody else can use the word “censored,” that you somehow have a trademark on the word itself, is as laughable as it is disgusting. The word is “part of your lexicon?” Please provide me a copy of your registered trademark on Censored News for a story I’m reporting about this latest attack on press freedom and in favor of censorship, complete with the date that shows you registered it before Ms. Norrell began using it in her publication. Short of that, you have no case, Sherlock, and you know it. This is just an effort to bully a journalist whose support from other journalists you apparently underestimated.

Persist in your efforts to censor its use and don’t be surprised when you become, once again, the laughing stock of the entire international community of journalists, only at higher volume than ever before, because this latest stunt is so deliciously hypocritical it beyond human decency.

Oh, and have a nice day, Mr. Phillips, you miserable, creepy slob.

Angry Duped Cops Are Now Photographing The Homeless Because De Blasio Or Something: Gothamist

The Sergeants Benevolent Association is soliciting photos of the homeless as part of their “Peek-A-Boo, We See You Too” campaign, which would sound like juvenile Facebook ranting if it wasn’t being propagated by the city’s second-largest police union.

“As you travel about the city of New York, please utilize your smartphones to photograph the homeless lying in our streets, aggressive panhandlers, people urinating in public or engaging in open-air drug activity, and quality-of-life offenses of every type,” SBA president Ed Mullins writes in a release. “We will refer issues to the proper agencies, and we will help create accountability across the board.”

Mullins suggests that the “see you too” portion of the campaign’s tagline is aimed at critics who want to videotape police or equip them with body cameras: “We, the ‘Good Guys,’ are sworn to protect our citizens. Shouldn’t our public officials be held to the same standard?”

As of this writing, the homeless are also citizens, and none pictured in the SBA’s hall of shame appear to be breaking any laws.

Too bad: think of how viral a photo like that would be! Almost as viral as a photo of a cop treating the homeless with kindness.
