Noa: The Bitch, the Witch and the imminent Switch…..pre-election ruminations

So, I say, to all of you out there, children of the future: President Obama has said, we live in a world of imperfect choices. Hillary is far from perfect, and in that sense, she is every bit human. Germany to send tanks to Russian border | Germany | DW.COM | 27.10.2016 Deja vu?

Protecting Lithuania from Russia is to be Germany’s responsibility, according to the new NATO defense plans that emerged at this week’s summit in Brussels. The German Defense Ministry showed on Wednesday evening just how seriously it is taking this task, confirming to the DPA news agency that next year it will be sending Leopard 2 tanks to the Baltic country’s Russian border in addition to the 650 soldiers it had already promised – though it would not clarify how many. The move is part of NATO’s wider plan to protect its Baltic members, who have all shown concern about Russian ambitions following the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the subsequent war in eastern Ukraine.A NATO battalion of around 1,000 soldiers will be stationed in Lithuania as of June next year, and will then be rotated every six months. Around 450 to 650 of these troops are to be supplied by the Bundeswehr, while the others will come from France, Belgium and Croatia. German media reported that the combat-trained unit will also be equipped with tanks, armored vehicles, snipers, and engineers.

Some Donald Trump Voters Warn of Revolution if Hillary Clinton Wins – The New York Times {Keep track of these KKK AMER-ISIS fools-that want to return to Oklahoma city bombing tactics}

Jared Halbrook, 25, of Green Bay, Wis., said that if Mr. Trump lost to Hillary Clinton, which he worried would happen through a stolen election, it could lead to “another Revolutionary War.”“People are going to march on the capitols,” said Mr. Halbrook, who works at a call center. “They’re going to do whatever needs to be done to get her out of office, because she does not belong there.”

CDC chief: Antibiotic resistance ‘scary’ threat to modern medicine | CIDRAP

An estimated 700,000 people around the world die each year from drug-resistant strains of common bacterial infections, HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. And a 2014 report from the UK’s Review on Antimicrobial Resistance projected that if rising AMR is not addressed, the annual death toll could reach 10 million by the year 2050.Frieden said that antibiotic resistance threatens to turn back the clock to a pre-antibiotic era in which pneumonia and urinary tract infections are potentially fatal conditions. But beyond that, it also endangers the more than 600,000 cancer patients who get chemotherapy each year and rely on antibiotics to protect them from potentially deadly infections. “We presume that we can treat them, but that may not always be the case,” Frieden said.

Jerusalem American School in Beit Hanina: American or Zionist Agenda?

Bringing peace does not come by deforming the minds of the generation of Palestinian children. We need Palestinians who are well educated in a manner that entitles them to think for themselves freely . Not to think in a directive approach towards the opposite of who you are .

نادية حرحش

“The problem of modern international terrorism came to the world attention in a shocking way during the 1972 summer Olympic Games in Munich…Members of a Palestinian terrorist group killed two Israeli athletes and took nine others hostage, later killing them. Palestinian terrorists also used airplane hijackings and suicide bombers. Since then, few regions of the world have been spared from terrorist attacks”.

This is a paragraph from the history book that is taught to Palestinian students in Jerusalem in the Jerusalem American School in Beit Hanina.

Yes! You read right, this text is not part of an Israeli fundamentalist Zionist curriculum taught to Jewish Israeli students. It is part of a curriculum taught to Palestinians who pay REAL high fees to a school in the heart of (East) Jerusalem in high school level.

If you think of the tens of the students each year who have graduated from that school…

HIV ′Patient Zero′ cleared of causing epidemic in US | News | DW.COM | 27.10.2016

Genetic testing on 1970s blood samples has shown that Gaetan Dugas, long vilified as an originator of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the United States, was not the man responsible for spreading the deadly disease.A study published in the journal Nature put together the genetic sequence of the HIV virus from archived blood samples of gay and bisexual men who were participating in a hepatitis B study at the time. Researchers then traced the genetic changes of the virus among men in New York and San Francisco. They found the HIV virus came from the Caribbean to New York City around 1970, starting the North American epidemic.University of Arizona evolutionary biologist Michael Worobey led the study. “The outbreaks in California that caused people to ring alarm bells and led to the discovery of AIDS were really just offshoots of the earlier outbreak that we see in New York City,” said Worobey.

Italian researcher creates a gelato that makes you better at sport – The Local – Viva!

The foods which best conserve the substances include dried fruits, cocoa beans and green tea, he says – and low, controlled temperatures help too. So gelato is the perfect way to eat your way to a healthy heart. The scientist created three types of ice cream (chocolate, hazelnut and green tea flavour) following a secret recipe at a Rome gelateria, before transporting it to the university on his moped. There, he carried out tests to check the effectiveness of the antioxidant dessert.Participants took blood tests before and after sampling the gelato (with some taking a placebo, a standard chocolate ice cream) and were also asked to pedal as fast as they could on an exercise bike. The tests showed that the gelato improved vascular function and also improved participants’ physical performance. These changes were not observed in those who ate the placebo ice cream.”Who says that health foods have to taste bad?” asks Sanguigni.

Thousands of Women in Iceland Say, No Equal Pay? Then We’ll Leave Work Early – The Ladies FingerThe Ladies Finger

Women in Iceland have had it up to here with wage disparity. Even though the country has, for years now, had the lowest gender gap in Europe, women there still earn 14 to 18 percent less than men. That means that around 2:38 pm, women effectively begin working for free according to statistics put out by women’s organisations. Which is why on Monday, thousands of women left work at this time and gathered in Austurvöllur square in the country’s capital, Reykjavik. The massive protest was also a throw back to Women’s Day Off. This was an incredible strike that took place on the same day 41 years ago, when 90 percent of the country’s women – mums, grandmums, school children – refused to work, babysit or cook for their families, turned up in huge droves on the streets and protested the lack of equal pay and other issues. This isn’t the first time this month that thousands of women took to the streets to fight for vital issues. Last Wednesday, Argentinian women left their offices to protest the murder and rape of a 16-year-old girl and women in Warsaw shouted for pro-choice while protesting the Polish ban on abortions. These public displays of solidarity have been amazing to watch. Hooray for women uniting in protest!
