New Zealand on Sunday reported 13 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus for the last 24 hours, as the country’s first outbreak in months continued to grow.
All but one of the new cases were from community transmission and appeared to be linked to a cluster in Auckland where the most recent outbreak started, said Ashley Bloomfield, the New Zealand director general of Health. The 13th was a traveller who returned from abroad and was in managed quarantine.

UNC-Chapel Hill reports third cluster of COVID-19 cases | TheHill
The University of North Carolina (UNC)- Chapel Hill has identified a third cluster of coronavirus cases since the school moved to reopen this fall, health officials announced Saturday.
University officials found a “cluster,” of coronavirus cases in the Sigma Nu fraternity building, an off-campus residence. A “cluster” is defined by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as five or more cases that are deemed close proximity in location.

“With this weekend’s high temperatures, I encourage everyone to take steps to stay cool and keep hydrated throughout the day while still practicing physical distancing and avoiding gatherings,” L.A. County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said in a statement. “Please note that cooling centers are open and safe places to go to avoid the extreme heat because every site is adhering to strict infection control and distancing measures.”
The Orange County Health Care Agency reported 513 new cases and 20 more deaths Saturday, bringing the county’s totals to 43,367 cases and 809 fatalities.
There were 434 COVID-19 patients in the county’s hospitals, with 138 in the ICU.
