I hold a glass devoid of wine,
Summer went by without daylight.
My mornings are now in gloom,
Pillows hold morning dew.
I lost a friendship that I loved,
That person is dead inside a living one.
We shared some years, those were good times.
Now, a stranger walks wearing that smile.
From one root the tree had grown,
On different branches its flowers have grown.
It is a strange feeling to have known.
Should I be happy or should I mourn?
