The Cartier Foundation embodies the insidious practice of using an “artistic” foundation to induce the public to believe that its merchandise and business model are in fact the opposite of its true relationship with nature and the interests of indigenous peoples … Posted on October 15, 2020 by Barbara Crane Navarro – Rainforest Art Project Companies that claim to be “selfless generosity” while “sponsoring” indigenous peoples and the biosphere that their business model destroys are dubious… as are NGOs and others who sanction them.

The latest prominent American to advance conspiracy theories about Jewish philanthropist George Soros: Ginni Thomas, a conservative activist and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
The idea that rich Jews are conspiring to secretly control world leaders is an age-old antisemitic stereotype.
Thomas has a history of sharing falsehoods from The Great American Movement Facebook page. In the past, she has shared false posts from the page accusing Democrats of committing voter fraud, calling California a “war zone” and claiming that Barack Obama wiretapped the Trump campaign.
“And by the way, Mexico is paying,” Trump said at a rally in Sanford, Florida, on Monday. “They hate to say it: Mexico is paying for it.”
“And Mexico is paying for the wall, by the way. You know that. I’ve been saying it. They hate to hear that. But they’re paying,” Trump said at a rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday.
“And as I said, Mexico is paying for the wall,” he added at a rally in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday.
Facts First: This is a lie. Mexico hasn’t contributed any money toward the construction of the border wall. The wall is being funded by the US government.
As the ad approaches the 14-second mark, a short clip of a couple holding up a baby is shown, with the words “High taxes on every income group.” Politico reported that this clip is titled “Man and Woman Playing With Baby Near the Window” and can be purchased on the stock footage website Pond5. The clip is being sold by a user who goes by the username Kmikhidov, and the person’s location on the site is listed as Russia.
The same user is also selling the clip on Shutterstock, and his Facebook page is linked to his account, which shows his full name as Konstantin Mikhidov. His Facebook page location is listed as Novosibirsk, Russia.
The owner of a beloved Oshkosh bar is in the ICU with COVID-19 and is angry with the president over not acting sooner to control a pandemic that has now infected his family.
But now it appears that Miller never left the FDA. She’s still at the regulatory agency and has since been given a new—perhaps more prestigious—title. And as before, she is causing problems for the agency.
Miller is now the senior advisor to the chief of staff at the FDA. As an FDA employee, she has publicly promoted an unapproved drug as being “like a cure” for COVID-19 on Twitter. Her tweets support unproven and potentially dangerous statements from President Trump and may violate FDA regulations. The drug she promoted is currently being reviewed by the FDA for emergency use, raising concerns about the agency’s impartiality.
Though Miller’s Twitter account has been altered in recent days to remove her title at the FDA and any connection to the agency, she is still listed on the FDA’s website. The website does not list her new or old title, however.

“The President has the authority to declassify documents that are otherwise currently and properly classified. The President has not exercised this authority with respect to any of the FD-302s remaining at issue in this case,” the DOJ wrote in its opposition motion to the news organizations, referring to FBI witness interview notes.
“The Court cannot infer that any such sweeping order exists based on the President’s Twitter statements because they merely suggest that the President ‘authorized’ the ‘declassification’ of unspecified information. The Twitter statements do not refer to any specific document and do not indicate that the President was exercising his Constitutional authority to declassify specific information. They were not an order to declassify particular material.”
Massachusetts’ Republican governor is diverging from his party this election cycle.
In a Wednesday statement, Gov. Charlie Baker declared through a spokesperson that he “cannot support Donald Trump for president” and will “leave the election analysis to the pundits.”
