“If the biggest hotspots for Covid are prisons, doesn’t it make sense to inoculate everyone from the guards to the prisoners?” said Ashish Prashar, a justice reform advocate at Publicis. Source: Coronavirus: Prisoners have been excluded from Covid vaccine plans
Covid-19 Update: Southern CA Deploys Field Hospitals, May Ration Care – Deadline
County Supervisor Doug Chaffee said he received a text message from a medical professional at St. Jude Medical Center last night that indicated the hospital is at “99% capacity.”
The hospital’s 301 beds are full with 138 COVID-19 patients, said Chaffee.
“The ICU is at 105% capacity,” Chaffee said. “They’re using every available bed. The emergency department has an overflow…All the Orange County hospitals are in the same situation. It is dire, so they’ll soon be erecting a tent in the parking lot, probably for triage. I think what we’re seeing is not a surge, but a tsunami.”

Israeli settler attacks on church sanctities in Palestine continue amid lax international response – Al-Monitor: the Pulse of the Middle East
The Church of All Nations built on the land of Gethsemane in East Jerusalem survived Dec. 4 an attempted arson attack. An Israeli settler had lit a fire inside the church before it was quickly extinguished, causing only minor damages.
With the help of young Jerusalemites, the church guard managed to catch the settler before he escaped and turned him over to the Israeli police.
Hamza Ajaj, a 30-year-old Jerusalemite who lives next to the church, was an eyewitness to the attempted arson attack. Ajaj told Al-Monitor, “I was sitting in front of my house at around 2 p.m. when I saw the church guard, who is also a friend of mine, running outside the church. So I ran after him to check what was going on. He told me that a settler set fire to the church and ran away.”
Ajaj added, “The settler took advantage of the fact that there were no worshippers and tourists in the church — which is closed as part of the coronavirus-related measures — to break into the place and pour a flammable substance on the church’s wooden benches and set it alight before fleeing. We were able to catch him and hand him over to the Israeli police.”

Pećka patrijaršija
History of the monastery of Pec Patriarchate

Homecoming…
I build. I break. I love. I berate.
When birds build a home, they travel far… far away to distant lands. They fly to the highest branch of their favorite tree, only to find a void left unhealed, just for them.
How do you know if you weren’t shying away from healing that one last wound in your heart in the wait for your person to come back home and caress it?
Someone once called love the greatest healer of all times. Years later, poets began writing verses about how love broke them. So, is love a beautiful irony that breaks you and heals you in the same moment, or do we admire our scars so much that breaking away from them is the kind of bereavement we can’t take?
Four walls, two windows, and a heart. That is all it takes to build…
