Positively Popular Poutine

I would make this vegetarian and am sure it would be great… thanks for recipe…

What’s Cooking in Gail’s Kitchen? The Chow Down: Positively Popular Poutine! While traveling to Canada recently, I was taken aback by a friendly waitress who recommended a very popular dish on the menu made with crispy French fries, fresh cheese curds, and rich brown gravy. She called it Poutine. Like a deer in the headlights, I was completely frozen at the thought. So I shook my head no, thanked her, and ordered my fries plain. By the end of the meal I was convinced I had missed out on something spectacular. Practically every restaurant listed Poutine as their specialty. Some Poutine platters were loaded with bacon, others chunk lobster, beef brisket, jerk chicken, or sautéed veggies. One place even boasted “Award Winning Poutine” and stayed open til 4:00 a.m. just to meet the late-night cravings of college students. Maybe this dish will catch on, after all.

Where is your Soul place?

Smiling Little Things

A soul place is considered to be a place where one’s soul finds itself in perfect peace. The point to note here is that peace is not about the place but to be found within you. As we know spiritual awakening is not about anything related to the outside but within. Therefore you can find your soul place anywhere where you experience more drawn inwards and more authentic.

Have you ever noticed the beauty of seashells on the beach, or those smooth pebbles on the bank of the river, mushrooms growing near the trunk of a tree, they just look so perfect for the settings they are in, where nature have planted them. Can we bring them inside our household and try to make them replicate the same vibe, it sounds ridiculous, isn’t it? Nature creates a perfect setting for anything to bloom perfectly. The same is the case with…

Zabranjeni grad, Kina – Forbidden City, China – 紫禁城

Myrela

PM Sanna Marin trashes EU dress code

Anna Van Densky blog

Brussels 25.06.2021 Anna van Densky OPINION There is no official dress code in the EU institutions, “however you are expected to dress adequately” the site of the European Commission announced. For most businesses throughout Europe, business attire is formal, which means dark suits, subdued ties, and lace-up shoes. Women’s clothing follows suit.

A Tale of Three Whales: My Humpback Encounter

Petchary's Blog

It was so good to retell my story of three humpback whales, whom I met some miles off the coast of California, a few years back. That entire, magical morning came back to me quite vividly.

I got a nudge to do this from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) office in Kingston (which is also the Cartagena Convention Secretariat), who had seen my tweets about their Marine Mammal Month campaign. This June and until July 7. UNEP has been aiming to raise awareness about marine mammals in the Caribbean (yes, we have orcas and whales and manatees) – which as we noted on World Oceans Day this year, face a whole range of threats (here are some older thoughts and quoteson World Oceans Day). By the way you can find me on Twitter daily @petchary and UNEP is @UNEP_CEP.

Many of these amazing creatures, and specific…
