Welcome To Trumpistan
This is what the state of Florida should be known….Trumpistan…..thanx to the authoritarian BS by the governor….De Santis.
The gov and the Repub legislature is giving America a true look at the heart of the GOP
It has been a long and painful month in the Florida legislature for opponents of the state’s Trumpist governor Ron DeSantis and his loyal band of rightwing Republicans. A slew of bills has advanced attacking everything from diversity rights, abortion protections and free speech in schools, in addition to a proposal that would legally shield white people from feeling “discomfort” over the state’s racist past.
And last Wednesday, an anti-masker physician, hand picked by the governor and apathetic about the value of Covid-19 vaccines, was backed unanimously by a Republican senate panel as the next surgeon-general following a walk-out by Democratic politicians frustrated by Joseph Ladapo’s evasiveness.
To hear DeSantis tell…

A Memorable Friend|
“2nd story”
A story by Laleh Chini:
First published: Aug.25,2017
Back then in Bushehr, there weren’t any big supermarkets or grocery stores. There were some local small shops or sellers on the sidewalks to sell vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry, baked goods, etc. It was common for maids to do all the grocery shopping. Therefore, my mother never went out to buy produce.
However, once a week my mother drove us to downtown Bushehr. We went to the bazaar to purchase personal needs or just to have fun. Bushehr is located south of Iran and has a desert climate. Its coastline is more than 700 kilometers in the Persian Gulf and is known for its old architecture.

It is home to a Nuclear Power Plant, and also one of the important harbors for imports and exports of trading goods. Many foreign engineers and technicians lived there to work in the Nuclear…

Another large vintage 1970 art work
De Wain Valentine was born in Colorado in 1936. He is known for his translucent glass, fiberglass and polyester resin minimalist creations. Of the same time as Robert Indiana of the LOVE sculpture, Valentine has a fine piece in the same gallery room at Newfields (IMA) in Indianapolis.
Vintage 1970 Double Concave Circle (Deep Violet-Red)
Above is the ID plaque at the museum with information about Valentines art
This is an impressive 8 foot tall circle of polyester resin. What we found fascinating was the fact that this striking red circle is a mere 20 feet or so from the Robert Indiana LOVE sculpture. Both were made in 1970. De Wain Valentine lives in California, and developed a unique resin for large scale pieces.
No Surprise Here
Ken Paxton, the Republican attorney general of Texas has filed a lawsuit seeking to block an immigration program that legally brings Central American children to the U.S. to reunite with parents who are already here and have legal status. Not only does the policy help facilitate family reunification, but it also allows a child to avoid the often dangerous journey north. It’s a smart, and humane program that has allowed thousands of kids to embrace their parents again. So Texas and seven other Republican-led states want it shut down. Excerpted from Daily Kos
You got, we got
So I saw a Trump supporter write this:
We’ve got…
Eric Clapton
Van Morrison
Ted Nugent
Kid Rock
Them: Neil Young Peter Frampton Bette Midler The guy who sang “Two Princes” There’s no contest who wins the rock genre.
Firstly Ted Nugent and Kid Rock?????
None of their songs are on my ipod, and never have been. Funnily enough the guy who sang Two Princes, is and always has been, lol. Also his name is Chris Barron =D
Also though we (the pro-vaccinations) also have. Also there is nothing actually wrong with Neil Young (who survived polio when there was no vaccinations), Peter Frampton, Bette Midler and Chris Barron.
We also have:
The Boss
Willie Nelson
Dolly Parton (who helped to create some of the vaccinations)
Metallica
Paul McCartney
We could do this all day.
Facts are, the right could have everybody as far as I’m concerned. Having a celebrity…

Nel 1801 Jenner (1749-1823), medico di campagna inglese, pubblicòThe Origin of the Vaccine Inoculation, in…
