❤️Happy Holi❤️

Anita's Perspectives on Life

It’s time to celebrate Happy Holi 2022. Holi, also known as the festival of colors, is a popular festival. Happy Holi 2022 will be held on March 18th (Friday). Holi is celebrated in almost all Indian states. As part of the celebration on this festive day, people throw colored powder at each other.

On this joyous occasion, people prepare sweet foods, put on new clothes, and wish each other a happy Holi.

Let this festival burn all negativity.

and bring positivity to life.

Celebrate with vibrant colors.

🙏Happy Holi 2022.🙏

Marii Freire Pereira — Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

A necessidade do amor garante a nossa sobrevivência física e psíquica. Marii […]

Those Suffering in Ukraine and Ethiopia have my greatest sympathy. ❤️❤️❤️

The Novel: UnHoly Pursuit: Devil on my Trail

War is tearing two countries apart.

They maybe in two different parts of the world, live vastly different cultures and lives, but the suffering and pain is the same.

I pray that both find peace and the senseless wars end.

An Unexpected Smile

From Behind the Pen

As the sun was setting yesterday, the moon showed up, bright, bold, and bad. She stole the show!

Sometimes the craziness of life leads to dehydration of the spirit. In that aridity, it’s difficult to find a reason to smile. Last night as I was closing my blinds, I saw this beauty rising majestically through the trees. It was a special moment that brought on an unexpected smile. Whether it’s a spring bud, the silliness of a pet, a child’s laughter, a smooth ride on your way somewhere, or just for being alive, find a reason to smile today. 😊 Even if you’re smiling and the world is not smiling with you, smile anyway. It is definitely a mood-changer!

Russians against war are fleeing state crackdowns · Global Voices

But it is not just journalists who are fleeing Russia leaving their lives behind. Students, teachers, families with young children, activists, and even a prima ballerina are among those who have fled a country that is growing more isolated each day in light of economic and political sanctions. “They didn’t just take away our future. They took away our past,” said Polina Borodina, a Moscow playwright who came to Istanbul in early March, to the New York Times. TurkeyGeorgiaArmeniaKazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan are among the top destinations that Russians can travel to without visas. One economist at the University of Chicago, Konstantin Sonin, said some 200,000 Russians fled before March 10. Source: Russians against war are fleeing state crackdowns · Global Voices

French Fridays, Language Learning for Empathy, and Alexandre Dumas, père

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

My language learning posts will not be in the real-time I’d been trying to post in (summarizing, each week, my intended daily work on each language).  I don’t know why I find myself surprised at his use of slavery in the novel in such a callous way (who will tell them that they are legally free?) in the novel, given Dumas’ own racial background, but then perhaps he was trying to point out the injustice of the situation?

My notes for French this week will be looking for a show for next year to watch in French, and finishing up my listening to Le Comte de Monte-Cristo (The Count of Monte Cristo) by Alexandre Dumas (Sr.):

October 17, 2020 –19.0% “Une morte évité au dernier moment !
A death avoided at the last minute!”

October 18, 2020 –20.0%“Guillotiner des prisonniers, c’était la fête ?”

Taking next week off, and The Right to Die?

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

I am exhausted, missing comments, and making mistakes, so I need to take a rest, despite still needing more Beta Readers for the 5th draft of Do Better

While  I  had hoped to write a quick post asking why I do not see any articles connecting the need to first have universal health care to the Right to Die movement, today is not the day.  NPR has articles on both issues, but none making the obvious connection: California, as usual, has it backward, while New York state is still pushing for the coverage that will prevent insurance companies (interestingly, my phone crashed when I tried to Tweet on an article about this, despite it being from one of my less preferred sources) from offering hemlock while denying “expensive lifesaving treatments” -must refind that article.  Too tired right now.
