Frankly, in modern life, some level of anxiety is almost normal. There’s always the potential for an adverse event related to money, job security, health, children or something else that matters to you.
Historically, people have countered anxiety with religion — the belief that if you don’t have control, someone else does and will make things right. The CDC still recommends “connecting with faith-based organizations” as a healthy way to deal with stress.(3)
