Comforting Thought: You are not too reflective or too quiet – you are just a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)

Content Catnip

In our culture, we are not just a minority, but one that is considered to be far from the ideal. It might seem that we need to go to the other end, from feeling weak, flawed and victimised to feeling strong and superior. I consider this to be a necessary compensation. But for many HSPs, the real challenge is to achieve a middle-ground. No more ‘too shy’, ‘too sensitive’, too anything. Just OK, ordinary, normal.

Two events in Kingston, Jamaica this week: climate action, human rights and peace

Petchary's Blog

I want to quickly alert you to two events taking place in Kingston later this week. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend, but I hope that you will support these efforts, and spread the word.

Blue for Peace: Glendon Nam (third left), director of Island Dairies/Cremo and Professor Elizabeth Ward (fourth left), chair of the Violence Prevention Alliance (VPA) cut the ribbon to officially open the exercise bars for the Grants Pen Peace Park. From my old standby Songfacts …

Paul McCartney wrote this about his girlfriend, an actress named Jane Asher. They split for good in 1968.
.
The Beatles recorded this specifically for release as a single at two quick sessions while they were making the Rubber Soul album in October 1965. When it was released as a single backed with “Day Tripper,” debate raged over which was the A-side. Most pop groups put B-sides on their singles that were far…

‘Mind Blown’ Named Plant-Based Seafood of the Year | Food Manufacturing

Recently, we saw a need for plant-based seafood and created Mind Blown by The Plant Based Seafood Co. We wanted to make a plant based version of our Crab Cakes, and knew they would have to be identical to the original versions in taste and texture. We’re proud to say that in any application of a traditional crab cake, the Mind Blown versions do equally as well, if not better. They’re fantastic on their own, or in your favorite crab cake sandwich, slider, or even stuffing.” Source: ‘Mind Blown’ Named Plant-Based Seafood of the Year | Food Manufacturing
