soft and supple

Develop. Inspire. Transform.

soft and supple, bending
with the wind

I dream

of a life given
to my heart, getting out of the way
of results

knowing
they belong to the riddle of time
freeing me

like a wind chime

blowing back and forth
making beautiful music out of sounds and notes

Habits of Productive People

Be Inspired..!!

It doesn’t matter what you do or where you work – everyone is looking for ways to be more productive on the job. But excessive amounts of caffeine and list-making won’t get you any closer to reaching peak productivity levels today.

So, why are we all so obsessed with productivity? It’s probably because in this digital age, staying on task and avoiding distraction is harder to accomplish than your actual work. Not to mention the feeling of a productive workday is somewhat euphoric.

This search for a more productive workday has led to a certain misconception about what productivity really is — and it’s a lot more than checking tasks off your to-do list. Truly productive people aren’t focused on doing more things; this is actually the opposite of productivity.

Here are few habits of insanely productive people :

  1. They capitalise on their most productive time – Find the time…

Female giraffes in Tanzania live longer if they live together in groups with their besties

Another uplifting gem of a news story from the Happy Broadcast and Ecowatch.

Today, only 111,000 individual giraffes remain in Tanzania. Forming close relationships with fellow giraffes, however, could increase a female’s chances at survival, researchers found.

“Grouping with more females, called…

Monkeypox FAQ | San Francisco (Read this!)

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a list of approved cleaning solutions, or disinfectants for monkeypox. The list includes popular products that many people already use, such as Lysol and Clorox. In addition, the EPA has approved special product labeling for cleaning solutions to prevent monkeypox. The list of approved products can be found on the EPA website.

According to the CDC, if you have monkeypox you should clean and disinfect the spaces you are in regularly to prevent the spread of monkeypox to your family or household when you are staying home and staying away from others. This includes washing your bedding and towels. Do not shake them out.

Once you have gotten well from monkeypox and new skin has grown over all your monkeypox sores or spots, you should wipe down and clean your home as thoroughly as you can. The virus can live on surfaces such as bedding for as long as 15 days. More information and tips about cleaning during and after monkeypox can be found here

COVID-19 vaccine to be required for most public university students in Louisiana – Louisiana Illuminator

Most Louisiana public universities will require the COVID-19 vaccine this fall, though a liberal vaccine exemption policy offered through state law also will also make it easy for students to circumvent those mandates.

The University of Louisiana system, Southern University system and LSU Shreveport will require the vaccine. LSU’s two health sciences centers, its main campus in Baton Rouge and LSU Alexandria will not.

LSU officials declined to say why they weren’t requiring the vaccine on most campuses, and LSU Eunice hasn’t responded to questions about its vaccine policy.

On campuses where the vaccine won’t be required, LSU is still “strongly encouraging” vaccination and will provide the shots through student health centers. Students and employees at LSU’s health sciences centers in Shreveport and New Orleans will also have to disclose their vaccination status, said Chris Winters, vice chancellor for clinical affairs at LSU Health New Orleans.

New Bird Flu Strain Kills 38% of Those It Infects

Prof. Jonathan Van-Tam, deputy chief medical officer for England with special responsibility for pandemic planning, told the Daily Telegraph that H7N9, a flu virus circulating in poultry in China could be “the cause of the next pandemic.” Some 1,625 people in China are known to have been infected with the H7N9 virus, 623 of whom have died. Most of those infected have been been in close contact with poultry; currently, the disease cannot spread from human to human, but experiments have shown it is just three mutations away from being able to do so.
