“Our lives depend on hope. If you have hope, you’ll be able to overcome problems you face. But if you’re without hope, your difficulties will increase. Hope is linked to compassion and loving kindness.” His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama

London 1971: The Photos Of John De Prey — beetleypete

During 1971, John de Prey stayed for a few months with his friend Marcus in Powis Square in Notting Hill. This is the same area made famous in the 1999 film ‘Notting Hill’, but over fifty years ago, it was still a multi-cultural working class area of London. From 1981 until 2001, I worked as […]

Red Pepper Bruschetta Pasta
What’s Cooking in Gail’s Kitchen? Food With Soul: Red Pepper Bruschetta Pasta! I truly enjoy perusing Italian gourmet markets. San Marzano tomatoes always seem to make it into my cart as well as olive tapenades and basil pesto or marinated artichoke hearts. Before you leave, don’t forget a nice bottle of Chianti.

#LanguageLearning & Mass Transit to Build Empathy via Esperanto — Inspiring Critical Thinking and Community via Books, Lessons, and Story

Esperanto is a very simple language to learn, by design. Given the interest readers have expressed over the years, I thought I might share some of my newest language learning journey here on my blog. It may be a stretch, but I’d also like to note that some of my most fun and interesting […]
