DEATH OR A CHANCE TO LOVE [408:7] – Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

Màu của biển. – Watercolor – by Trần Băng Khuê

In dreams, we are blind. In what is shapeless, we capture images of the dark. Not the same darkness as when we couldn’t breathe during Covid, it’s more the darkness of the unknown, an invisible world.

Invisible, because there are those who want to look into our past. Like her, we have written about a past that has been drawn across all dreams. Its beginning is rather sketchy, but as we step into her soft and delicate domain, all the spirits of the moon will dance.

Because of you, love, with Cupid’s arrow I will pierce. Beyond my failure, I will find myself bathed in a coldness like the moon. You are too full hence you will spill into the past, watch those bobbing up and down in the water at the end of the world. You will try to slow time down so people can believe that they are still in their youth. Nietzsche acknowledged death, while you believe in the resurrection.

The illusions we can not see, it’s where everyone hides their pain, imprisoning the most incredible lies. In such a place, there’s no way out or in, all everyone needs is the fire alarm and the emergency exit to escape the fire.

And we only have one life. Time. Time will in the end, swallow us whole.

3 years after the Myanmar military coup—the people are suffering – The Lancet

Myanmar was once on the verge of substantial advancements in health care but is now dealing with a severe humanitarian and health crisis following the unlawful military coup on Feb 1, 2021. Due to the Myanmar Military Council’s (MMC) atrocities against civilians and the end to the democratic process, the National Unity Government (NUG) has allied with ethnic armed groups to fight for justice and a future federal democracy. In a world of growing humanitarian emergencies and fleeting media attention, Myanmar is fast becoming a forgotten crisis, overshadowed by the wars in Gaza and Ukraine. As of Feb 29, 2024, the MMC and pro-military groups have destroyed more than 75 000 homes and properties and killed 4611 pro-democracy activists and civilians since the start of the coup.

They have also arrested 26 204 people, and of those 1662 were killed in detainment, 20 156 are still detained, and 155 people have been sentenced to death.

Civilians in resistance strongholds were burned alive; the MMC conducted massacres and used villagers as human shields.

Start Over Again – Belladonna’s Flashlight

Losing weight is easy…… until it isn’t! We give up on living a healthy lifestyle so quickly!

Sometimes, self-sabotage is part of our plan. We search for any excuse to give up. We forgo the things we want the most, but then we realize how much effort it will take to reach our goals. Then doubt drowns our souls, leaving us at the lowest point of our lives mentally.

I deal with women who are on the hunt to reclaim their lives. Losing weight is a massive part of getting your mojo back! Notice I didn’t say working out. Even though it is a large part of losing weight, it is not the only factor. Eating clean is the key!

You can work out until your knees give out, but if you are still eating junk, then your body will not change!

Every Sunday, I give my clients a list of exercises that they should complete for the week. I base it on their fit test and focus on the areas that need improvement. My list will make your eyes pop out of your head, especially if you aren’t aware of how strong you are. I design it this way because I want my clients to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.

But many of my clients are SABOTEURS!

Quickly giving in to temptation, consuming calories upon calories, and making the scale slowly creep back up to that horrid number that signifies an unhealthy zone. Which ultimately… leaves a crippling feeling.

BUT DON’T QUIT…. HERE IS YOUR MOMENT TO SHINE!

Throwing in the towel isn’t an option. If you have failed 1000 times, then you should feel more motivated than ever to make this moment WORK. Giving in to temptation is common, and believe it or not, that’s okay.

Just start over again.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

Hoofdstuk 8 Inheemse banden
Hoofdstuk 9 Eenvoudig leven
Hoofdstuk 10 Het Verhalenpad…

Good People Doing Good Things — Gone But Not Forgotten | Filosofa’s Word

Chef José Andrés and the people who make up the World Central Kitchen have featured in a number of my ‘good people’ posts since 2018 (see links below).  It is with great sadness that I once again highlight them today, after 7 of them were killed yesterday while being good people, trying to provide food for starving Palestinians in Gaza.  World Central Kitchens will continue to do what they have always done, but this is no doubt a blow to all those involved in providing humanitarian aid around the globe.  I just wanted to honour these seven wonderful humanitarians in this week’s ‘good people’ post.

“These are the heroes of World Central Kitchen. These 7 beautiful souls were killed by the IDF in a strike as they were returning from a full day’s mission. Their smiles, laughter, and voices are forever embedded in our memories. And we have countless memories of them giving their best selves to the world. We are reeling from our loss. The world’s loss.” – Erin Gore, CEO
