Wind generator shaped like a honeycomb – Darcy Hitchcock

Katrick Technologies has a solution: Their new honeycomb-shaped wind turbines are significantly more compact, making them better suited for urban areas with the capability to sit on already existing buildings and similar structures.

But how do they work? They utilize “oscillating aerofoils” to capture wind instead of the typical rotations of the old-school fan design. These aerofoils enable even lower levels of wind to be captured, and therefore create even more sustainable energy.

Celebrating Your Birthday in April? Then Sparkle Like a Diamond! 💎 | From Behind the Pen

Today I’m sending all of my friends born in the month of April, showers of love unlimited! May you sparkle like multifaceted diamonds of joy and happiness.

As precious as a diamond

You are born to lead

So shine your light of love

April children, plant your love seeds.

***Oh snap, crackle, and pop! I want to apologize to all of my dear friends born this month. When I rearranged my scheduled posts this week I accidentally forgot to reschedule this post. I am so sorry about that. Ugh! Please charge it to my mind and not my heart! If I missed your day then Happy Belated Birthday but remember you still have to continue to celebrate your birthday for the rest of the year until your ‘born-day’ rolls around next year! Cheers!

Happy Birthday y‘all!

“Springtime” on Gobblers & Masticadores | Dawn Pisturino’s Blog

(Photo from Peakpx)

It’s 35 degrees this morning where I live in Northern Arizona – too cold for April! In fact, this has been the coldest April I can remember. I’m thrilled to share that my poem, “Springtime,” has been published today on Gobblers & Masticadores. Thank you, Manuela Timofte, for publishing it! The poem addresses how winter lingers on while Spring tries to settle in. Please visit Masticadores and show them your support.

Springtime

by Dawn Pisturino

Springtime struggles to survive

The clasping arms of winter,

Stirring up the honey-hive

And bringing forth the flower.

She hastens to restore the sun:

The melting snows recede;

And when the sap begins to run,

The worm returns to feed. . .

Please click HERE to read the rest of the poem. Thanks!

“Springtime” is included in my new poetry collection, Ariel’s Song: Published Poems, 1987 – 2023. It was originally published in the World Poetry Anthology (1987) and the Best New Poets of 1988 anthology.
