Two NYPD Officers Shot In Bed-Stuy May Have Been Victims Of Friendly Fire
Two NYPD officers were shot during a car chase-turned-shootout in Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn early Saturday morning. But authorities said today that the injured officers, 29-year-old Andrew Yurkiw and 33-year-old William Reddin, may have actually been struck by friendly fire: “It’s quite possible both officers were struck by bullets from other officers, and possibly deflected bullets,” said Deputy Commissioner Stephen Davis, noting that the officers at the scene fired over 30 shots.
