How You Are God, the Universe Is Friendly … From Solipsism to Transpersonal Reality: Transpersonal Perspective, Part Three — Experience Is Divine

I Am You, and You Are Me, and We Are We, and We Are All Together: The Radical Rational View of Us and It and the Basis of the Belief of Non-Separation
From Solipsism to Transpersonal Reality
I Exist
Everything that we say exists is dependent upon our subjective experience of it. So all we really can know exists for sure is a subjective experience of anything. Beyond that, the proposing of anything else as existing is pure speculation. So essentially all that we can know to exist is experience—that which is, in any particular moment, for oneself—the perceiver or receptor of experience.
This is solipsism, pure and simple of course. But it is the best place of all to start. As W. T. Stace wrote, “The initial position of every mind must be solipsistic,” and further, that while continued investigation might eventually lead to “very…

Will Lebanon Ever Change?
A Separate State of Mind | A Blog by Elie Fares
I was sitting with my grandma a couple of days ago in her warm kitchen while she cooked me lunch. As the tawouk simmered, she started asking me about my days. It’s not the typical chit-chat to let awkward time pass by. She was genuinely concerned.
A few minutes later, my grandma started going on and on about how she wished God would give me nothing but success wherever I went and whatever I did, how I deserved nothing but the best, etc.
What she said might be a bunch of cliches to you, but it got me thinking. There will come a time, and that time is coming up really soon, where I will probably say goodbye to my grandmother at an airport gate, like many of my friends, and never see her again.
The idea made me terribly sad. I started wondering if I really should go through…

A Secret To Building The Pyramids Has Been Discovered
Simple answer that eluded people for far too long.
The secret behind the moving of heavy and large stones to construct the Pyramids, the last remaining Ancient World Wonders, has been discovered and revealed by a team of scientists.
The scientists, consisting of physicists from the FOM Foundation and the University of Amsterdam , believe the ancient Egyptians used a ‘clever trick to make it easier to transport heavy pyramids stones by sledge’: wet sand.
“The Egyptians moistened the sand over which the sledge moved. By using the right quantity of water, they could halve the number of workers needed,” says a statement released by the physicists.
The dampness of the sand from pouring the right amount of water significantly reduced friction and how much force was required to move the huge stones, which, on average, are approximately 2.5 tons in weight.
The physicists explain that wet sand is twice as stiff and firm as dry sand. This, and the fact…

The Day in a Picture
Self-delusion is a powerful and addicting human behavior. When presented with over-simplistic justifications of why millions of handguns in the US are not a problem and you want to believe that untruth – you delude yourself that the simplistic justification is true – and 10-20 thousand people in US will die from gunshots this year and 20-30 thousand will be injured or maimed by gunshots, as well. The problem is that it is much easier to pull a trigger and kill someone than to stab someone and kill them.
Film: Imaginary Mothers/A Journey of Loss for Costa Rican Mothers
I was a legal adoptee in the US but there have been so many shady dealings and bought/stolen children all over the globe – it is indeed heartbreaking. I’ve never found my then-14 year-old birth mother but wonder every now and then what life held for her.
MERS: Impact of comorbidity on mortality
In my last series of posts, it became quickly apparent that MERS cases who have pre-existing conditions (or “comorbidities”, such as diabetes, heart disease, etc.) are more likely to die than those who are otherwise healthy. I wanted to take a closer look at this finding by conducting some risk analyses on the data I have available to me currently. I looked at three different time frames: from March 2012 (when MERS was first documented) to present; before 3/20/2014 (the onset of the current outbreak in the Middle East); and after 3/20/2014. This is what I found:
Overall, cases with comorbidities are +80% (p = .0001) more likely to die than those who are otherwise healthy.
Prior to the current outbreak, cases with comorbidities were +70% (p = .0016) more likely to die than otherwise healthy cases – about the same as what we saw above…

Chikungunya virus confirmed in Antigua
Can’t like this – there goes the neighborhood, as they say. Hope he did not get bitten by other native skeeters and pass on the disease to Antigua skeeters
The Rescue
Deep… deep inside…
In the land of sorrow… where I reside
Where only pain reigns
Passion becomes resistance
Love grows rebellious
And hope stands tall
Grief runs deep
Cutting through hills and mountains
In the caves and underground
Far beyond my reach
It was raining agony… that day
Restless… agitated… weighed down
Haunted by my nightmare
You’re never coming home
Looking up… into sky
Yelling for help
My soul whispers
Here I am God… exhausted… give me your hand… come to my aid
Here I am God… full of sorrow… and anguish…ease my pain
Here I am God… hurt and tired… help me…hold me… heal me
Here I am God… lonely… be my friend and companion
Here I am God… lost… guide me… show me the way
And like a dazzling morning at the crack of dawn, dispelling all darkness
Like gentle rain drops drizzling over a parched piece of land
Like…
