The Last Of The Millenniums

GOP conscience clause

America. Where politicians and employers decide what health care you get based on their moral or religious values.

Now THAT’S American exceptionalism!!

Keep voting teabagger Republican…..Let’s clean up America!!
Washington (CNN) – ‘House Republicans have added a measure aimed at limiting contraceptive coverage to the spending bill coming up for a vote Saturday night, a spokesman for Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Kansas, told CNN’.

A senior House leadership aide confirmed that development’.

‘The so-called “conscience clause” would allow employers and insurers to opt out of preventative care for women which they find objectionable on moral or religious grounds. That prominently includes birth control, which most insurers are required to provide for free under current Obamacare rules’.

When An American Nails An Arab Talent Show

A Separate State of Mind | A Blog by Elie Fares

Jennifer Grout is an American who doesn’t know a word of Arabic. Yet she still managed to nail the song “Ba’id Annak” by Um-Kulthum, all while playing the oud.

Many of us have American relatives and we all know exactly how difficult it is for them to learn Arabic. More often than not, their attempts at pronouncing some letters turn into pure entertainment, which makes Jennifer’s achievement even more impressive.

At a time when our TV stations are littered with contestants vying to become stars, Jennifer Grout manages to make a dent. I’m very intrigued as to what she will do next. Even over here, Americans got talent.

Contrast of Dawn and Sunset #photography #poetry

penned in moon dust

behold the dawn

where the earth

unveils color as she

dances for the warming rays

embrace the night

shadowy covering

last tendrils of color

extinguished is day

The wordpress weekly photo challenge was Saturated. When I thin of saturated I think of the way that color absorbs light.  Dawn and Sunset seemed the two times of day when color saturates our earth.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s International links: More hindrance than help

Nervana

Three months after June30, the Brotherhood leaders are either in prison, hiding, or in exile. Following the massive crackdown, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) has decided to move its media center to an undisclosed address in London. This announcement has coincided with news of alleged meetings held by the Muslim Brotherhood’s international organization in Istanbul and Lahore to look at ways to escalate action against the regime in Egypt. There is also an Islamist gathering in Doha chaired by Qatari-based Azmi Bishara to discuss the Islamist movement and democracy.

The Muslim brotherhood has experienced two major waves that have risen and fallen. The first wave was in 1928 in its original launch by group founder Hassan el-Banna and then the ruthless crackdown of president Nasser beginning in 1954. The second wave started in 1971 with the release of their leaders from imprisonment, and ended this year with the collapse of…

Hornets have killed at least 28 people in Shaanxi this summer: Shanghaiist

Living outside of China won’t keep you safe either, Chinese hornets gained a foothold in France in 2005 when they arrived in a pottery shipment, and have already spread to Spain, Portugal and Belgium. The European Environment Agency expects them to arrive in the UK and Italy soon. Sightings of Chinese hornets have also been reported in the US.

Kill them. Kill them with fire.

The Moon’s Glow #poetry #life’slesson #amwriting

penned in moon dust

Moon by ShironekoEuro

Ah the harvest moon

filled with amber glow

release your source

unveil your love

pour dust upon my soul

*

gazing down she softly smiles

her radiant all the more

adore me not

you star fazed one

gaze upon life’s shore

*

I smile into childlike eyes

I but a mirror grand

I gather light into my self

joyous to sit

upon sun’s night stand

*

look up into radiant  light

take in his daily glow

bask in his warmth

no matter what the day

his love for you will show
