News from The Associated Press – EXPERT: POLICE SHOOTING OF BOY WITH PELLET GUN WAS JUSTIFIED {What!}

“Regrettably, with the release of yet another utterly biased and shamelessly misguided ‘expert report’ the County Prosecutor is making clear his intention to protect the police from accountability under the criminal laws, rather than diligently prosecute them,” attorney Jonathan Abady of New York said in a statement Thursday.

Soon our government will know everything we are thinking, and in that moment, we will stop thinking.

{but they – the snoopers – will be sound asleep by then cause what’s in most people’s heads is “what’s for supper” and that’s booooooring!}

Afghan Women’s Writing Project | I Want to Breathe

I want to be myself with my own body,

my own soul,

my own name,

with my own opinion,

an independent Afghan Muslim girl,

without others’ propaganda and lust.

I want to become one with the river

and sing the travel songs

to go where women are not second class,

where women can move ahead.

I want to really know the meadows  and give tulips to all women of my generation

because we all know how much

we have sacrificed.

Because of our bad customs

we sacrifice so much for crimes we do not commit.

We are punished.

We cannot even wear light colors.

We just wear black.

We hide ourselves from the derogatory looks of the profligate.

We had to leave our laughter with the past generations.

Laughter is a crime.

We have no peace even in our own homes.

We grieve for our lost happiness.

With all of these sacrifices, what more do you want from us?

We wanted to be with our own feelings and thoughts.

Participate in our community activities.

This is our legal right and

the right that Allah has given to us.

Our skirts are clean.

We are innocent of these community accusations.

Our hearts are so clear you can see our wishes and dreams.

What is our crime?

That we raised our voices?

They have accused us.

We are not guilty.

We are shamed and abused

because we stood our ground.

They injured our souls and feelings.

We just stood silent and crying.

We let our happiness go and we can no longer see it.

May the next generation of girls be independent.

May they be able to live their lives with feelings and ideas.

May they be able to live colorful lives with their own souls,

and may they tell the stories of our generation,

the story of the brave women of Afghanistan.

The story of our bravery.

The story of our sacrifice and honesty.

And may we be remembered.

Their Blood Is On My Hands: The Latest Massacre And Owning My Part. | Rebelle Society

Overcoming this issue when it’s so engrained in American culture is going to be a journey, and it will be long. Prepare yourself, because the first step will not solve the problem immediately. We must accept that our journey will be imperfect, and that we will make mistakes, and that the solution will evolve along with our society. What is unacceptable is we’ve not yet taken one step forward on that journey, because we’re stuck in the fight for what we each think is the right solution. There is no right solution. There is only the start of the journey towards becoming whole again. Fighting over a right solution does not lead to the solution, there is enough evidence to prove that.Start talking about and demanding action be taken, and let’s actually take our first step on the journey to stopping innocent people dying unnecessarily and causing trauma and pain to ourselves and each other in the process. The United States can and must heal from these massacres. They must become a part of our history, not our present-day reality, and that starts with me and you letting go of the battle and focusing on taking our first step forward, whatever that may be.
