Why don’t anti-Indian groups count as hate groups?

a July report by the Montana Human Rights Network argues that CERA, along with other anti-American Indian groups, such as Upstate Citizens for Equality and Proper Economic Resource Management, should be labeled hate groups for their multifaceted attempts to reduce Indigenous political power while promoting racist stereotypes. Willman calls the network’s labeling of CERA as a hate group “absolute trash,” but says that the network does always quote her accurately. “There’s no one at that event who holds hate in their heart,” Willman says of the Whitefish conference. “The only ones who hold hate in their heart is probably the Montana Human Rights Network, and I think that’s sad. What a horrible way to think and live.”

Separation of Powers is Officially Politically Dead | La Prensa San Diego

For political gain, the Republicans have blurred the lines between independent branches of government on the bet that their voters will reward them with another term or two in office. They may be right. Republican voters may think that the end justifies the means. But, there are more Democratic and Independent voters than Republicans, and many of those may think that the long-term damage to our form of government is a too high a price to bear. Moderate women voters are the most likely to revolt against the Republicans for their callous responses to accusations of assault, especially given Trump’s mocking of Dr. Ford this week. The movement has made great strides to protect women from abuse, but now Trump and the Republicans are pushing right back on those efforts. With elections only five weeks away, voters will have an opportunity to show how they feel about the political machinations going on, and they will have the last word on who wins and who loses. If voters don’t recoil from the current political environment, we should all brace for more vitriol and corrosive political maneuvers in the future. Left unchecked, the convergence of the three branches of government co

Hitler ′forced′ to invade Poland, AfD youth leader claims | Germany| News and in-depth reporting from Berlin and beyond | DW | 05.10.2018 – How can Germany allow his o go on!?!

Within the AfD, Steinke’s thoughts on Nazi ideology were known well before his unequivocal Facebook post lambasting von Stauffenberg. Sources close to Steinke leaked a recorded conversation to DW of him with a colleague in which he justifies Nazi Germany’s invasion of Poland in September 1939. Steinke can be heard saying that describing Germany’s invasion as an act of aggression equates to a falsification of history. Steinke claims Hitler was “forced” to act in this way and that “every politician would have acted just like Hitler.” Neither Steinke nor the AfD were willing to comment on the recording.

Dentist at detention center suggests immigrants floss with sock string – INSIDER Shameful by government and th hired hands!

One of the dentists told the inspectors that he only provides “palliative care” to immigrants because he doesn’t have time for procedures like cleanings or fillings. When inspectors asked him about the necessity of fillings, he brushed off the concern and said patients won’t need them if they commit to brushing and flossing. “Floss is only available through detainee commissary accounts, but the dentist suggested detainees could use strings from their socks to floss if they were dedicated to dental hygiene,” the inspectors wrote. Immigrants told the inspectors they had received tooth extractions rather than fillings — and even those procedures have sometimes gone awry. The inspectors interviewed one immigrant who waited eight months to have a tooth extracted, and another had the wrong tooth pulled.

Not my brother’s keeper: six siblings speak out against Republican candidate | US news | The Guardian

“I think my brother has traded a lot of the values we had at our kitchen table,” she says. The Gosar siblings fell out with their brother after he espoused rightwing conspiracy theories about George Soros, claiming the financier who backed Hillary Clinton over Trump betrayed his fellow Jews to the Nazis in the second world war. When Paul Gosar backed the far-right marchers whose rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017 resulted in the death of a counter-protester, his siblings wrote to an Arizona paper to say: “We are aghast that Paul has sunk so low.”
