An eyewitness, a schoolteacher at the scene said that the boy was heading towards the checkpoint, and when he was close, an Israeli soldier shot him in the shoulder and the stomach. He adds that when he fell down, soldiers approached him, placed a knife right next to his body, then again fired three bullets on his head, from zero distance, leading to his immediate death. The soldiers then stripped him from his clothes, covered him in a black bag, and took him in an ambulance, detaining his body.Several eyewitnesses denied Israeli claims of any stabbing attempts, and confirmed it was a cold-blooded execution.
Israel wants to create ghettos for Palestinians and strip them of any citizenship – but will not call them concentration camps?
PNN/ Jerusalem/A recent poll released on Tuesday by the Israeli Midgam Institute showed that 58% of Israeli’s back canceling the resident status and its accompanying rights for Arab residents of east Jerusalem.According to Israeli media, the poll comes after the Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu suggested stripping residency from Jerusalem Arabs this week and announced he may take a tour of the area to consider the move.Withdrawing the Israeli card from the Palestinians means that they will not be able to move or
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Tuesday noon have brutally assaulted and kidnapped two Palestinian girls from Hebron, claiming that they had knives. The Imam of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Munther Abu Al-Feelat said that the sisters who were identified as Nour and Jihan Erekat, were passing in front of the mosque when Israeli soldiers stopped them to search them, but they refused. The Imam continued by saying that then, the mosque guards interfered to stop the soldiers from potentially shooting the girls. The two guards, Salah Al-Ja’bari (52) and Jehad Al-Ja’bari (30) were both arrested for “defending the girls.”
A US State Department official, travelling with Secretary of State John Kerry on a trip to Amman, confirmed there would be a cut.“The decision to reduce assistance to the Palestinian Authority was made this past spring,” he told reporters.“There were several factors contributing to this decision, including unhelpful actions taken by the Palestinians and constraints on our global assistance budget.”
Thousands of Israelis participated in a protest march in central Tel Aviv Saturday night against the Netanyahu government’s policies in the West Bank and the continuing violence. The demonstrators, many of them from Peace Now — which organized the event — and the left-wing Meretz party, along with several members from the Arab-Jewish Hadash party and Da’am Workers Party, marched from Habima Square to the IDF headquarters on Kaplan Street, waving Israeli flags and holding signs that read “Intifada government, go home” and “There is no security without a solution.”Among the speakers was Peace Now head Yariv Oppenheimer, who accused the government of “taking an entire country hostage in an unnecessary religious war, and we are all paying the price. You have turned the state into a violent, racist, and hopeless place. We have come here to call for an end to the hatred and the incitement, for a struggle against racism, and to demand a political solution — two states for two people.”
A FRENCH journalist assaulted by masked far-right Israeli nationalists has reported he is safe and well.David Perrotin, who works for Buzzfeed, was viciously attacked outside the Paris offices of the Agence France Presse news agency on Thursday.Dozens of activists from the Jewish Defense League hit him on the head and back with batons after one of the group recognised him and pointed him out to the others.Earlier, they had tried to storm the building, thrown eggs, and waved Israeli flags, chanting: “We’re coming to get you”. Riot police used tear gas to break up the protest. But the respected correspondent, who has written about the extremist group in the past, told fans on Twitter last night (Friday) that all was “bien”.
a recent study has found that about 40 percent of the imprisoned minors in the country are Ethiopians, despite their small part in the total population – only 1.6 percent. This is perhaps not a shocking revelation; however, in a country which is already a patchwork of so many different ethnic origins, this is a very disturbing escalation.Smaller attacks, resulting in light injuries, hardly make it into the mainstream news, and thus dozens of racial incidents remain within the social media sphere, or at the very best appear as a short sentence on news tickers. Two weeks ago, a 22-year-old Israeli Jew from the northern town of Kiryat Ata stabbed another Israeli because he thought his victim was an Arab. Unlike the times when the assailant was Palestinian, this time Haifa Magistrate’s Court placed a gag order on revealing the attacker’s name and other identifiers at the request of his attorney.
The chief rabbi of the town of Safed, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, was especially impressive when he told followers at his weekly lesson last week, “I heard that in cases like this, and in other cases, policemen were afraid to shoot the male or female terrorist out of compassion and pity. I don’t understand this. What’s the meaning of not shooting a terrorist? Empty your magazine at her! That’s what needs to be done. … A policeman who kills a terrorist should get a bouquet of flowers, gifts and money.” This public servant, who also serves as the head of the rabbinical council of the national emergency medical service Magen David Adom, claimed that Jewish law permits medical staff to kill wounded terrorists. “If they cannot be killed,” he added, “make it so that in the end they will die. Feed them spoiled food, so that they get a stomach upset and end up dying. That’s what one should learn at MDA.”
As the Israeli-Palestinian conflict simmers, and political rhetoric exacerbates tensions rather than calms them, a different voice is gathering pace online. It isn’t mainstream, and it’s largely led by women.
Moshe Zimmermann said the comments essentially made Netanyahu a Holocaust denier. “Any attempt to deflect the burden from Hitler to others is a form of Holocaust denial,” he told The Associated Press. Senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat said that “Netanyahu hates Palestinians so much that he is willing to absolve Hitler of the murder of 6 million Jews.”Netanyahu’s claim does not need debunking. It never happened. Pure fiction. But that wasn’t the point. The point was to try and link the fate of the Jews under European fascists (and under so-called Western democracies I might add) with Palestinian resistance to Zionist Settler Colonialism. It is such a preposterous position that one can only react to it in disgust.
