“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive -to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” – Marcus Aurelius
I couldn’t count the myriad of blessings over the course of my life because there are so many, and each day presents a new blessing that fits the moment with a purpose and a lesson. I do embrace and express my gratitude when I recognize the infinite amount of blessings I have received throughout my lifetime, during various stages of each chapter of my life, in good times and bad, whether I remember them or not.
So I count my blessings with humility and gratitude. This is not because of or from a religious or denominational stance but for my personal thanksgiving, through each day, no matter how great or small my blessings may be.

Lately, I keep thinking about Obama’s line, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”
No matter how far they try to run from it, Donald Trump and his MAGA extremists are LITERALLY going to take away everyone’s rights if they win.
It’s outlined in Project 2025.
They’ve talked about it.
They’ve made speeches.
If we don’t vote, they WILL enact it.We can’t get overwhelmed, we can’t panic, we can’t lose sight of what’s really happening, and we have to counter all of it. And on social media, it feels like we’re carrying all of it.
It’s because we are. We always have been. It’s been us.
“We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”
I thought it was a good line in a speech when I first heard it, but after my conversations with friends and leaders over the past month, I finally understand its real meaning…
Nobody is going to save us except us.
We are the leaders, we are the canvassers, the phone bankers, the voters. On social media alone, I have watched hundreds of my friends go from private citizens to major thought leaders who reach more viewers in a day than some media outlets. We’ve generated hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours, millions in donations, and launched so many great candidates I can’t name them all in one tweet, right from this app.
It’s you, it’s always been all of you. Time and again.
When Trump won in 2016, there was no #Resistance. In those early moments, we didn’t know what to do, but within hours, Democrats and blue dots in red places came together and created the blue wave of 2018 that brought in a whole new generation of badass leaders.
In 2020, despite COVID-19 and one of the most difficult and unique campaign years of all time, social media delivered the Democratic message. When we couldn’t knock on doors, we did it online. You all went full-on digital, and we beat Trump and expanded our Senate majority.
In 2022, when everyone said there was going to be a big red wave, when all the polls looked bleak, you on here did not give up. You pushed the message, you fought disinformation again. It was a glorious stand, and you prevented a devastating red wave by organizing good-hearted people all over to turn out.
If you weren’t here pushing the message, Joe Biden wouldn’t have enacted the meaningful legislation that saved our asses after Trump’s Covid response was to float the idea of using a “very powerful light” and asked if there was a way to inject disinfectant into the lungs to beat it.
So now it’s 2024, and I’ve been thinking about this a lot, for weeks, and I’ve been silent because when I spoke, I really wanted it to matter…
All I can think of is: we have seen this all play out before. The bad press, the bad polls, the disinformation, the hate, and the outright lies.
We’ve faced all of this already. And get this, this time we know what to do.
– Don’t allow third parties to split the vote.
– Stop disinformation.
– Promote our record of accomplishments.
– Get people off the couch and to vote.We have won again and again because we are a community who cares about each other, who checks in on our friends, and who cares what happens to everyone, not just those who agree with us.
If we stand together, as we have done these past eight years, and gotten better and better at it, we will win. I promise.
Hold the line, lock arms, and do not let these extremists past us, because we are the ones we’ve been waiting for and this is the final quarter of the endgame.
Game faces.
Check in on your friends.
Let’s go win this thing.
