„Erwarte immer das Allerbeste in jeder Situation,
und sieh, wie stets das Allerbeste daraus entsteht.“(**)
Auch „heute“ schenken mir die Worte aus den zeitlosen Tagesbotschaften von Eileen Caddy (*), Freude, heilsame Zuversicht und ja auch Bestätigung, dass in der Tat stets das Allerbeste geschieht.
Sieht es mitunter auch gar nicht danach aus, habe ich diese Worte als (mein!) „Wunder-Heil-Mittel“ tief in mir verankert.

Hurricanes have been more powerful these days
Telling us that we need to live in different ways
Since we know that deforestation is a problem we need to fix
Why won’t we stop falling for the advertisers tricks?
We can produce less waste to burn
and have less green house gases in the atmosphere, when we learn
Let us be aware of the changes we can make
We can’t keep on living in the same way, and keep making the same mistakes
Changing habits and doing something new won’t happen over night
But we can try to get rid of our plight
Micro plastic finding its way into our food is not good
So let us reduce plastic use, in the way we should
The hurricanes get more violent as time goes by
It is so sad when nothing can be done and people die
We can reduce the amount of Toxic fumes we release in the air
We can start believing that the rich manufacturers truly care
Creating jobs while we treat the environment badly has left us with stress
Some persons suffer a lot, when some are talking about financial success
If more persons would learn how start green businesses and become self employed
There would be less pollution, our water, air and soil would not be destroyed
Global warming is a crisis that is faced by everyone on the planet both rich and poor
The environment has been abused and there are many poor people who can’t survive anymore
The drought and heat waves are devastating
Farms are closing down, we can’t keep on waiting
For government to change their policies and force companies to treat the environment right
When we can stop buying some products and show them that we can put up a fight
We can support the Eco Friendly Shops in our towns
After a while all other businesses will need to shut down
The environment it not easy to fix after it has been destroyed
We need to learn more about the action we need to avoid
We don’t have another earth to call home
And when this one is totally destroyed we can’t say let us roam
Let us stop and think about the legacy we are leaving for our children today
When we change our habits we will be teaching our children how they can treat the environment in a better way
Who wouldn’t want their children to live a happy and healthy life as they grow
Give the children a bright future, tell them what you know
Think about the toxins that are causing more diseases and pain
Think about plastic pollution, deforestation and acid rain
To the next generation you should be fair
Tell them more about environmental care
You can get great deals when you support the project for the children and the environment
It is very easy for you to make a commitment
You simply order eBooks and Fiverr gigs on the site
And get more information for the kids so they can learn how to treat the environment right
They will help with composting and energy saving as well
They won’t be worried about their future, they have great stories to tell…

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has revoked a pre-trial agreement reached with men accused of plotting the 11 September terrorist attacks.
In a memo on Friday, Mr Austin also said he was revoking the authority of the officer overseeing the court who signed the agreement on Wednesday.
The original deal, which would reportedly have spared the alleged attackers the death penalty, was criticised by some families of victims.
The memo named five defendants including the alleged ringleader of the plot, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. The original deal named three men.
“I have determined that, in light of the significance of the decision to enter into pre-trial agreements with the accused… responsibly for such a decision should rest with me as the superior authority,” Mr Austin wrote to Brig Gen Susan Escallier.
“I hereby withdraw your authority,” his letter continues.
“Effective immediately, in the exercise of my authority, I hereby withdraw from the three pre-trial agreements.

First, let’s be clear: Women lead politics around the world every single day. According to U.N. Women, there are 27 countries that have a woman serving as head of state and/or government. Latin American countries have had women in executive office since the 1970s; last month, Claudia Sheinbaum was elected president of Mexico by a sweeping majority after beating the other leading (female) candidate.
In the U.S., more than 30 percent of elected state-level executives are women, totaling 99, of whom nearly a quarter are women of color. Women serve as governor in 12 states; Michigan has a trifecta of women at the helm in the roles of governor, attorney general and secretary of state. Twelve states each also have women in the roles of attorney general and secretary of state.
Second, the instantaneous outpouring of energy for Harris as the presidential nominee is not only massive but measurable. Her campaign broke the coffers in a mere 24 hours, raising over $81 million in small donations, a new record. Sixty-two percent of those came from first-time givers. More than 44,000 Black women held a same-day Zoom to get down to mobilization plans, followed by 53,000 Black men committing to the same the next day.
Beyoncé blessed Harris with permission to use her song “Freedom” as a campaign anthem. Charli XCX’s “Kamala is Brat” tweet sent Boomers and Gen X spiraling on the airwaves to decipher what it means to be “brat.” The post picked up tens of millions of impressions across social media and changed the hue of the Harris campaign homepage to the greenest of chartreuse greens.

A man’s a man for all that …“. That just seems like wishful thinking. It is the title of an old song, written in 1795 by Robert Burns (for those who don’t want to read the whole song, here is a brief summary of the contents:
It is better to be poor than a slave;
an honest man, even if poor, is a king;
a man who thinks independently laughs at titles and medals;
Let us pray for sense and self-worth to prevail and for people all over the world to become brothers.
(Pretty progressive ideas for the 18th century in Scotland, where there was still a rather strict hierarchy, also in the clans.)
On Wikipedia they claim that there is a translation into German, but it is just a completely different text to Robert Burns’s music.
Full song text:
Is there for honest Poverty
That hings his head, an‘ a‘ that;
The coward slave-we pass him by,
We dare be poor for a‘ that!
For a‘ that, an‘ a‘ that.
Our toils obscure an‘ a‘ that,
The rank is but the guinea’s stamp,
The Man’s the gowd for a‘ that.
What though on hamely fare we dine,
Wear hoddin grey, an‘ a that;
Gie fools their silks, and knaves their wine;
A Man’s a Man for a‘ that:
For a‘ that, and a‘ that,
Their tinsel show, an‘ a‘ that;
The honest man, tho‘ e’er sae poor,
Is king o‘ men for a‘ that.
Ye see yon birkie, ca’d a lord,
Wha struts, an‘ stares, an‘ a‘ that;
Tho‘ hundreds worship at his word,
He’s but a coof for a‘ that:
For a‘ that, an‘ a‘ that,
His ribband, star, an‘ a‘ that:
The man o‘ independent mind
He looks an‘ laughs at a‘ that.
A prince can mak a belted knight,
A marquis, duke, an‘ a‘ that;
But an honest man’s aboon his might,
Gude faith, he maunna fa‘ that!
For a‘ that, an‘ a‘ that,
Their dignities an‘ a‘ that;
The pith o‘ sense, an‘ pride o‘ worth,
Are higher rank than a‘ that.
Then let us pray that come it may,
(As come it will for a‘ that,)
That Sense and Worth, o’er a‘ the earth,
Shall bear the gree, an‘ a‘ that.
For a‘ that, an‘ a‘ that,
It’s coming yet for a‘ that,
That Man to Man, the world o’er,
Shall brothers be for a‘ that.
(1795, Robert Burns)
Very fitting that a man with the name Burns is singing it.
I just wanted to remind us all, how long these ideas already exist, and how regularly they are being forgotten again. There aren’t any differences between human beings that are basic; at the base we are all the same, the rest is culture and labels.
