Criticism of unprofessional advertising – Kritika neprofesionalnih reklama – Myrela

The Porta Santa (Holy Door) is made up of a single and massive bronze panel that depicts the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus, standing in front of the crucified Jesus.

The Latin inscription on the door’s left mid-section reads: ‘Christ Yesterday, Today Forever’.

The coat of arms at the bottom of the door is that of Pope John Paul II (1978-2005), who commissioned the work.

Trivia : Across the courtyard from St. John Lateran Archbasilica, Italy is the Scala Sancta agreed by some accounts and disputed by many others to be the actual marble stairs of Pontius Pilate’s palace in Jerusalem upon which Jesus walked to his trial appearance before Pilate’s Court.

The Scala Sancta marble stairs were brought from Jerusalem to Rome by Emperor Constantine The Great’s mother— canonized after her passing, St. Helena.

The steps are encased in wood for preservation but are open to the public as part of a pilgrimage (that observers The Passion of Christ) ongoing since the 1700s.

These steps lead to a small chapel, the Sancta Sanctorum used originally by former Popes as a private chapel.

Trivia : *Normally closed and sealed, The Porta Santa Holy Door is currently open as of December 29, 2024 for the year of Jubilee [December 29, 2024 to January 6, 2026.]

What If You Were a Tool, Which Would You Be? | From Behind the Pen

What if you had to choose what type of tool you would be and why, what would your decision be? Would you be a hammer, a wrench, a screwdriver, a saw, a clamp, a drill, a trowel, a level, a utility knife, a chisel, or pliers?

I thought about this question while doing some repairs around the house; it was not as easy of a decision to make, as one would think. I was also reminded of the song If I Had a Hammer, sung by many performers like Pete Seeger, Trini Lopez, Sam Cooke, Peter~Paul~and Mary, and Aretha Franklin. According to online sources, “If I Had a Hammer (The Hammer Song)” was written by Pete Seeger and Lee Hays in 1949. It was written to support the progressive movement and was first recorded by The Weavers, a folk music quartet composed of Seeger, Hays, Ronnie Gilbert, and Fred Hellerman.

After watching footage of President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn working side by side on Habitat for Humanity homes, it was a stark image and reminder of what we could do to help and uplift people during their time of need using the gifts we have. You need not have a contractor’s license to build hope and unity, just use the tool(s) indwelled in you. So, think about your makeup and what you are capable of doing. What if you were a tool, which tool would you be? How useful would you be to others who needed and depended on your help and support? How would you, as a tool, contribute to humanity to build bridges and not walls? What if and how?
