Ex-Firefighter Robert Sanford Arrested for Allegedly Hurling Fire Extinguisher at Cops During Capitol Riots

Robert Sanford, a 55-year-old from Chester, Pennsylvania, faces three felony charges, including assaulting a police officer, after he was allegedly caught on camera hurling the extinguisher as the mob stormed past Capitol Police officers and broke into the building on Jan. 6. He was taken into custody by the FBI in Pennsylvania Thursday morning just before 6 a.m., a source with knowledge of the matter told The Daily Beast.

According to a criminal complaint, the “video was shot from an elevated position and showed an area of the Capitol with a large group of police officers surrounded on at least three sides by a group of insurrectionists.” The complaint added that the extinguisher hit three officers in the head, “including one who was not wearing a helmet.”

Kevin Seefried, who was wanted by the FBI after being photographed carrying the Confederate battle flag outside the Senate floor, was arrested on Thursday in Delaware, The New York Times first reported.

Thomas Gallagher, 61, was also arrested on several charges on Thursday for allegedly refusing Capitol Police commands near the House Atrium during Jan. 6 attack. Gallagher is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in New Hampshire Thursday afternoon.

After initial calls for peace, South Dakota governor says Georgia’s new senators are ‘communists’ (South Dakota governor writes traitorous op-ed piece)

Noem made her comments about incoming Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock in an op-ed published Friday by the conservative online magazine The Federalist. In her piece, which focuses on her views about what the Republican Party must do going forward, Noem criticized the election of Ossoff and Warnock in Tuesday’s runoff election.

“The idea that Georgia, of all places, could elect two communists to the United States Senate was ridiculous,” wrote Noem, a staunch Trump supporter who campaigned for Georgia’s Republican incumbents, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

Just a day earlier, Noem used her gubernatorial Twitter account to denounce Wednesday’s storming of the U.S. Capitol, saying, “There are consequences for how we talk to each other in this country. Today, let’s all pray for healing and peace for our nation.”

Embracing Change

Saania's diary - reflections, learnings, sparkles

But the harsh truth of life is that, nothing lasts forever. Keeping that in mind, we then need to learn how to accept this change.

“Accepting change is all about embracing the unknown” We never know where life is taking us, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by change. But to accept it, we need to learn how we can embrace it with the circumstances we are given. We can have certain expectations of how we’d like for things to turn out, but we can never really affix ourselves to that result. So if we lower our expectations we have from life, the easier it becomes to accept any change.

When things around us change, we also start…
