For the first time, though not the last, in this series we glimpse a lake. Like many of the Irish place names, Glenmore Lake has a connection to the Irish Language name, Loch an Ghleanna Mhóir. Roughly translated the name means Large Lake of the Glen. The names in use today, in English, are derived from the sounds of the Irish. It happens the Irish Ghleanna sounds link Glen (or in another version, Glan, roughly the same).

La dolce vita Neapolitan (Naples) – hours of travel

The old center, with its narrow streets, the small shops, the itinerant merchants, where the churches are grouped, I passed through it countless times, at a difference of 3-4 years. Noises penetrate from all sides, facial expressions and gestures reach artistic heights.

Early morning on Wednesday, an explosion ripped through a COVID-19 testing center in North Amsterdam, Holland.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the testing center was targeted, and the explosion went off shortly before the center opened.

The area has been cordoned off, and the police said that the explosive was placed there, and ‘some metal’ had caused the explosion. There were no casaulties or injuries, but only some minor damage in the surroundings such as shattered windows.

We don’t know yet exactly what exploded, the explosives experts must first investigate. What we’re saying is that something like that doesn’t just happen by accident, it has to be laid.
