Fagiolini rigati con lenticchie nere

Google translation of the introduction: Black lentils! Ever seen in circulation? Very good … and they do not require soaking as their cooking takes about 20 minutes (like their cousins, among other things).

InTheNameOfSeitan

Le lenticchie nere! Mai viste in circolazione?

Cominciamo… 😉👌

Ingredienti(per 2 persone):

180gr di fagiolini rigati

120gr di lenticchie nere

IS RACISM A HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION?

NANMYKEL.COM

It seemed kind of strange to me back in 10/23/2004 when Rense.com posted the story that “Bush Signs Global ‘Anti-Semitism’ Law.” Don’t get me wrong–I’ve laid flowers at Auschwitz–but why pick one area of human rights violations and not others? In fact, his state department had opposed the legislation, saying it was unnecessary as the department already includes such information in its annual reports on human rights and religious freedom.

“Today I signed the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act of 2004. This law commits the government to keep a record of anti-Semitic acts throughout the world, and also a record of responses to those acts,” Bush said.

Then it occurred to me–even in 2004, when I clipped the article– that the state department should cite the US on such a list, and then wondered how racism is categorized, and if our acts against people of color are being lawfully recorded along…

Laurisilva Madere, Portugal – Laurisilva of Madeira, Portugal

Myrela

Šume lovora opstale su u oblastima pošteđenim glacijacije, uključujući arhipelage Zelenortskih, Kanarskih i Azorskih ostrva i Funšala (ostrva Madera, Porto Santo, Dezertas i Salvažens).

Thoughtful Thursdays, Stayed on Freedom with the Call of Freedom, and Alliances

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

Mutual problems, mutual aid.

So, how do we each help our society to become more fully inclusive for all of us, and to respond to the human need for aid, to all of us?

I believe that attention to shared histories of cooperation may provide part of an answer.  I started a note about that, a few years ago, in my book Stayed on Freedom’s Call:

“…burdens while being subject to rather different cultural and ethnic constraints, it
seems only natural that alliances would form between the two communities to
facilitate resistance to their mutual oppression. Such alliances would inspire
communities to cooperate to make positive changes for the benefit of all
citizens. And cooperate they did, both in private and in public….

So, it turns out that I might have needed to explain a bit more about that shared oppression mentioned on this page.  Some…
