Machismo

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

Ableism: Discrimination Against Disabled People by The Wheelchair Teen

Happiness Between Tails by da-AL

The act of writing forces us to contemplate things more deeply, to question what we believe. Bloggers, novelists, all writers lay ourselves bare when we publish. When we communicate our passions, readers are challenged to think — and they challenge us!

Thank goodness for the world of blogging, a Utopian alternate universe where anyone with access to a smartphone or computer, along with the internet, can send their unfiltered voices all over the world.

Without blog-topia, I would never have stumbled across Simone’s The Wheelchair Teen blog. There she lets us into her often fun, sometimes heartbreaking life. With good humor and patience, she teaches everyone to live with joy and compassion…

We Can Be Different|ما می توانیم متفاوت باشیم

A Voice from Iran

“194th story”

People are truly different with each other;

-Some lock themselves in a room when the sky of their life becomes cloudy….

Silence, time, and loneliness is their only cure.

-Some like to be in a crowd. They like to laugh loud so they won’t hear their pain and problems. Not that they are careless, not at all, but their cure is this way.

-Some people scream their love for others, shout their pains and sadness. They are scared, and screech for help.

-Some pours everything inside them. If you dig deep inside them you won’t hear a world out of their mouth, everything spins in their minds, even if he/she is exploding out of problems, wouldn’t speak. Their thoughts are full of anxiety and blues. They are not dry or have a lack of feeling, they are just different.

-Some if fails a thousand of time, would start…

“The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side Of The Fence”

Unlocking The Hidden Me

The story involves two school friends, Ajay and Raghav. Story is narrated by Ajay.

“……and then I learned something from him that made me stopped dead on my tracks.”

Raghav and I were quite close to each other since our school days. While I was always an introvert, he used to be an ambivert. We lived in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and were together till class 12th after which he got selected in a reputed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi while I stayed back for another year there as I was unable to crack any competitive exams and then took admission in BSc chemistry . After his B. Tech., he got quite a handsome package in one of the leading construction companies and he shifted to Bangalore. I did my graduation, Post-graduation and Ph.D. and was now a Teacher in a college in New Delhi. Initially, we had a…

Working Things Out

Lyrical smile

When you’re in a relationship with a person as a friend, as a partner or as a sibling, you build it on mutual understanding keeping all their flaws and insecurities in mind. Your every step with them must be monitored whether or not it will backfire against them. It’s not a move that you calculate nor something that you have to decide using statistics. It all happens from the heart. Even before your mind can reciprocate it, your heart enacts with enough wisdom to not hurt them and to not transform mutual into misunderstanding.

When a relationship is based on doubts, you must act with patience and sort it out with the person through conversation. Lack of interaction deepens the potholes of doubts, the more deeper it gets, the more difficult it becomes to cover it up. I know from my own experience, it is difficult to create atmosphere to…

Aripi

Vivaldi translation of introduction: Tarquinia, 2018

The concrete reason why I visited Tarquinia (Lazio region) are the Etruscan tombs inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the National Archaeological Museum with its delicate exhibit, winged horses

Tarquinia, 2018

Coronavirus digest: India records highest daily death toll | News | DW | 10.06.2021

India reported 6,148 new deaths from coronavirus on Thursday. It represents the highest single-day death toll from the virus in the world.

The sharp spike in numbers has been attributed to the eastern state of Bihar correcting its figures.

Authorities revised the state’s earlier total from about 5,400 to more than 9,400 coronavirus-related deaths to account for patients who succumbed to the virus at home or in private hospitals.

The increase in numbers surpassed the 5,444 virus-linked deaths recorded in the United States on February 12.

With a caseload of more than 29.2 million infections and nearly 360,000 fatalities, India remains the world’s second-worst affected country after the United States. However, experts maintain that the figures are massively undercounted.

Soni's thoughts

Hello, my name is Dean Hodgetts and I am honoured to have been invited to write a guest post on Soni’s thoughts. I am a writer, Christian, newly married, work in a call centre and have lived in Portugal for 5 and a half years. I enjoy dancing, making music and living my life according to my faith. It is a real blessing to have come across such great bloggers and friends who encourage you to grow. Below is a poem written from personal experience, I’m sure some will relate to these words.

Title : Do you remember?

Do you remember when people had patience?
Do you remember when people had time?
Do you remember when life was a walk in the park and all the people were doing just fine?
Do you remember when families gathered?
Do you remember your friends by your side?
Do you remember when…
