Hoping it gets the attention and sales it deserves – good job!
Saania's diary - reflections, learnings, sparkles
Happy Monday Everyone!
I am so delighted to inform you that I am releasing my very own book today on my birthday! It is titled Teenage Chronicles, and is published by EuropeBooks.
A little about my book…
Teenage Chronicles is an honest reflection of my personal teenage journey. It captures the emotions, anxieties, and the euphoria of an average teenager. I am hoping that, vicariously, it may help other teenagers better cope through these intriguing years – as fascinating as they are difficult!
I am a typical teenager who has experienced and endured ubiquitous teenage emotions. When these emotions started getting rather overwhelming, I tried to introspect deeply. I would spend many nights thinking about what was really happening inside me. I also talked to a lot of friends to try and get collective wisdom. Was I alone in feeling this way? If not, how were others coping? Themes that…

Afterglow
When ink and blood bleed together, The pain becomes luminous Writing itself into the mind Salvation's enlightenment. Wielding the pen of poetry Surrendering to courage... Not letting words die Giving poetry strength to survive; On unmarked routes, unknown maps A carousel of unborn dreams Drawing on time, finding destinations Riding a nomadic compass Trailing, probing, exploring Guilelessly woven thoughts Like a Stollen that enters breath Breaking into words like Fallen , flushed, blooms Still fragrant... Freeing mind from eclipse of Que sera sera..
Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine Effectiveness Against SARS-CoV-2 Infection: Findings From a Large Observational Study in Israel by Yaki Saciuk, Jennifer Kertes, Micha Mandel, Beatriz Hemo, Naama Shamir Stein, Anat Ekka Zohar :: SSRN
Findings: mRNA BNT162b2 was found effective for the total population group for infection, hospitalization and mortality, with adjusted VE of 93·0% (CI:92·6-93·4%), 93·4% (CI:91·9-94·7%) and 91·1% (CI:86·5-94·1%) respectively. VE for infection was lower for participants aged 75 and over, and for those with hypertension, diabetes and obesity. Interpretation:This study strengthens the evidence that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination is effective in preventing infection, hospitalization and mortality. The other woman in my life
Midlife, for most men, quickly turn to be a bull grind of momentous boredom. With its very repetitive array of compulsive chores, a humdrum of listless food for every meal and an eminently predictable behaviour of indifference among all around you, life in the fifties, far from being exciting, is, in fact a full-blown crisis. You are expected to pay all the utility and non-utility bills of every family member and on time, gulp down to the last morsel the “diet meal” served on the plate without a murmur and mentally rehearse the sentence a couple of times before you let out a request for permission to switch off that overworked air-conditioner! Life suddenly looks drudgery as you silently crave for that one person to come to your life and bring back the zing and zest to it. And I am happy and immensely thrilled to have found that person…

Calzone
We started Nourish one year ago with our favorite pizza recipe and have now come full-circle. The original calzoni from Italy were oven-baked folded-over individual pizzas made to be eaten on the go. We keep our version simple with classic marinara sauce and shredded cheese in the middle, although you can fill yours with any other toppings you typically enjoy on pizza.
STEP ONE – Preparations
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Lightly spray a large baking sheet with canola spray.
- Get out a large bowl and a medium saucepan.
STEP TWO – Make the Dough

1 packet dry active yeast
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon fine sea salt

Kosovska bitka, Kosovo polje, Zemlja Brankovića (danas Srbija) – Battle of Kosovo, Kosovo Polje, Brankovic Land (today Serbia)
Prvi izvori o samoj bici govore o srpskoj pobjedi, a tek kasnije se javljaju navodi o neriješenom ishodu i srpskom porazu…

On Modesty
An ancient Zen master used a saying when he taught his student monks about modesty: “It is hard to live long with a great name.” I’ve tried numerous times to find out the name of that Zen master. I’ve never seen a definitive clue. Evidently, the teacher followed his own advice. Regarding the virtue of modesty, many people in East Asia believed that avoiding fame, perfecting integrity, and stressing modesty were core values for a joyful, contented life; with the accent being placed on “contented”. In this case, “contented” does not mean settling for mediocrity. “Contented” means grateful and pleased with one’s state of being.
Modesty should not to be mistaken for false modesty or humble bragging. In many ways, false modesty is a great hindrance to integrity and contentment in life. In the outward sense, false modesty affects how a person presents her/himself. It implies the lack of discretion…
