Three Zion Images
I remember Zion well at sunset
Michael Stephen Wills Photography
“Water seeping out of the Navajo sandstone creates tranquil springs and the unique “hanging gardens” for which Zion is famous, full of ferns, wildflowers, and mosses.”
Here are three exposures of the same scene.

Can you spot the foot path?
Here is a gallery of the three photographs, to flip back and forth. the primary difference is the exposure within the shadow under the projecting cliff face.

Keepers of life
Do you want a long term relationship?
The behaviour of successful long term partners

We are living in a time where everything in our life is unpredictable. If we look 20 years back, it was much better and most of us were at peace with our lives. On the contrary, today we are living in a time where everything looms over us. Any time we can lose our job, our partner, our travel plans. We cant even plan the education of our children in this pandemic time as lockdowns are imposed because of increased susceptibility to the virus.
However when there is no guarantee for anything at least relationships are expected to stand by in these hard times. People seeking long term relations have failed despite sincere and intense efforts. They have gone through every phase of finding the right partner, and read relationship advice books. Yet they have not…

Who will govern Afghanistan? Democracy or Militancy?

The Biden government may be lagging behind its July 4 commitment to vaccinate all adults but it is doing a commendable job at evacuating all its troops way before the September 11 deadline.
Judging by the current pace of evacuation it seems that by July 4 only a handful number of soldiers will be left behind to protect U.S. diplomats in Afghanistan, who may then get struck in the looming Civil War once the evacuation of U.S. and NATO troops is completed in the country of uncertainty.
How much of Afghanistan is governed by the Taliban?

As of 2nd July, 2021 Taliban, has gained control over 157 districts, is contesting with the Afghanistan government over 308 districts and Afghan government has control over 90 districts.
The Taliban has its own set of laws based on the interpretation of Sharia. It has also developed a…

A Poet’s Song
As poet I may not acquire a name
In the insoluble pages of time,
Nor ever get renown, nor earn acclaim
With the tremendous potency of rhyme.
You may immerse my lines in rancid grime
And put on my serenity all blame,
Or shove in a hollow I can not climb
With my heavy loaded body in shame.
But midst all aches, taunts and leaden dire days,
There’s hope that doth say: art shall be on way!
And words shall sing blithely till my poor death,
Putting their soothing touch in each hot breath.
And though at last I’ll die without my fame,
I’ll be proud I’ve seen inward fair flame.
Tras la ausencia de junio y con la presencia de julio

¿Qué hicimos? ¿Dónde estuvimos? ¿A dónde vamos?

Good job!
Elche in Kanada
Vivaldi translation of introduction: Elk in Canada
2. Juli 2021
During my childhood, my mother often told me about the many moose she had seen in the vast forests in her home country of East Prussia. When my cousins from the United States heard this during a visit to Germany, they said that there were also several places in the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado where moose often gathered in the wild on a river. The cousins invited us to visit them in Denver, then they would show us the moose.

Filosofa’s Mind Is Bouncy
There was much in yesterday’s news that I could, perhaps should, be writing about. There was the Supreme Court decision to uphold Arizona’s voter suppression laws, Bill Cosby’s sentence being overturned, even though he has admitted his guilt, Trump organization along with CFO Weisselberg being charged with running a 15-year tax scam, and some other important stories. However, as I seem to have a very bouncy mind today that cannot focus on one thing for more than 15 seconds, I instead have for you few fleeting thoughts on this, that, and the other from the bouncing mind of Filosofa …
“He’s not just a pig, he’s stupid!”
That was ol’ Tucker Carlson’s rant after hearing that General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified that he believes the military should be well-read and should learn about the past history of the U.S., including its dark, racist parts…
