Our life is seasonal. There is infancy, adolescent, teenager, adults and seniors. Each of these seasons have their advantages and disadvantages. We have to cherish the season we are in because that too will pass.

Jamaica records 544 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours
My apologies for not writing more about many other issues that concern me (and there are many important ones, especially related to the environment and climate change). However, COVID-19 has overwhelmed everything and everyone. We were shocked to learn the numbers for yesterday (August 12). The Delta variant (and the expected Third Wave) is clearly with us.
Please, please get vaccinated! Vaccines are here. Don’t delay!

Johnson and all the others are wrong. Wearing a helmet while bike riding, strapping on your seatbelt in a car — these are personal decisions, at least as far as your own injuries are concerned. Vaccination is different. In the context of a deadly and often debilitating contagion, in which the unchecked spread of infection has consequences for the entire society, vaccination is not a personal decision. And inasmuch as the United States has struggled to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19 through vaccination, it is because we refuse to treat the pandemic for what it is: a social problem to solve through collective action.
26 crew, 1 passenger aboard Carnival Vista test positive for COVID-19 – UPI.com
Carnival Vista reported that of its 2,895 guests and 1,441 crew, 27 crew members and 1 passenger tested positive for COVID-19 while entering Belize this week.
The Belize Tourism Board announced Wednesday that all passengers with a negative COVID-19 test will be required to present proof to health authorities, and those without proof of a negative test will be subject to random testing.

Japan’s daily coronavirus cases top 20,000 for 1st time
Daily coronavirus cases confirmed in Tokyo hit a record 5,773 just over a month since the declaration of the current state of emergency in the capital, the metropolitan government said, and the number of severe cases already at record levels since earlier in the week rose further to 227.
