DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says Del Rio, Texas, migrant encampment has been cleared – UPI.com

Of the roughly 15,000 people removed from the makeshift camp in south Texas, 2,000 have been deported to Haiti, 8,000 voluntarily traveled to Mexico and 5,000 were placed in immigration removal proceedings.

“Today, we have no migrants remaining in the camp under the International Bridge,” Mayorkas told reporters during a White House press briefing. “Migrants continue to be expelled under the [Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s] Title 42 authority.

“Title 42 is a public health authority and not an immigration policy, and it is important to note that Title 42 is applicable, and has been applicable, to all irregular migration.”

We had just come from seeing the actual Falls and were both hungry and thirsty. This brewery certainly took care of immediate needs. Of course we had to get a flight, so our server Kelly picked out four to sample. Sher and I liked each and every one of the flight.

The “bar food” was absolutely delicious. We love good bar food and good beer. Thus it is easy for us to say “We love Snoqualmie Falls Brewery!” The cheese bread…

CDC: Most COVID-19 outbreaks in Arizona schools tied to no mask requirements – UPI.com (Me: politics and no masks – a killing combo)

Schools in Arizona without mask requirements for students and staff were nearly four times more likely to experience a COVID-19 outbreak than those who mandate face coverings, according to data released Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Just under 60% of Maricopa and Pima counties’ schools that reported outbreaks after in-person classes resumed in late July did not have mask requirements for students and staff, the data showed.
