Você é a única pessoa capaz de se fazer feliz

Vivaldi translation: You are the only person capable of making yourself happy
The only person you depend on in life to be happy is you.

The only person capable of improving yourself is you.

You are the only one who can truly love yourself.

If you are in doubt between love and dependence, it is not love.

We are unique beings, that is, you have a life, the other person has his life. When love arises, it comes to serve as a “complement” in relation to the joining of two people. Now, if love hurts, it hurts … it’s not love.

”Don’t confuse love with brutality!”.

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

Consumers Have the Power to fix the Pollution Problems we See

FunWritings

When consumers stop supporting the manufacturers when they destroy the environment

Because we know how important it is for them to make a commitment

There will be far less pollution out there

Business people will start thinking about environmental care

The industrial revolution caused the big change in the way we shop

Extraction, production, consumption and disposal, this cycle can stop

We can stop following trends and repair the old things we bought before

We should be thinking about the life children will live if the hurricanes keep on getting more intense

We could also think about what our future will be like if nothing gets better and do more to reduce our expense

The system that cause so many people to buy things they…

oh, how deeply I love her…

Develop. Inspire. Transform.

hand-in-hand,
we traipse this land,
passing by trees, and foliage
as we glide,
together, one step
in front of the other…

we hold
within our hearts
a special place
for our mother, and

look up
with adoration,
a sense of satisfaction,
and the most gentle elation

as the light

cascades softly
off the trees,
through the glade,
and in front of me, and

I see,
and feel free…

as the warmth
caresses my being
in its entirety, I say
a silent prayer, and

give thanks
on this day,
for this moment
of time alone with my mother

oh, how deeply I love her…

Map Porn Part 2: The Most Beautiful Geological Maps on Earth

Content Catnip

Where Art Meets Science

Scientific visualisations often can look just like objects of visual art. The previous installation of this series, there were topographical surveys visualised on both our moon and Jupiter’s moon. This time, we are focusing on our own Pale Blue Dot.

These maps are not only utilitarian and functional, they are works of art in their own right.

The World’s First Geological Map

Created by William Smith in 1815, this was the map that changed the world and set in motion a century of scientific exploration. Smith’s efforts are remarkable for the time because Smith was not a gent from the upper class, but came from a respectable farming family. As a result of this snobbery, Smith’s map was largely ignored and subsequently plaigiarised. Smith spent a year or so in a debtor’s prison due to his lack of funds. It was only later on in life…
