These days the political ‘toons have a darker nature than they once did, or perhaps my memory has become faulty in my old age.  Still, they show remarkable talent in being able to say with a picture what the rest of us would need 1,000 words to convey.  As always, TokyoSand has scoured the ‘Net to find the best of the best and today I am sharing her post.

Or do you consider yourself a leader in this area? Do you know a fantastic sustainable energy project, or company that is doing great things? Then why not nominate them for an Island Innovation Award!

The Island Innovation Awardsare all about change – real change, and the people who are driving it, on islands across the globe. The deadline for applications and nominations (you can either apply yourself or nominate a person or organization) is February 15th and the virtual awards ceremony will be held in March.

     She handed us our plates, patting my hand in a motherly fashion as she guided the trembling hand holding my plate into my lap.  Our cutlery was bundled in white linen napkins, not monogrammed, I was surprised to see.  She held up a perfectly soft hand, as I made to thank her for her kindness.  She must have had some household help, but they were nowhere to be seen, or heard, rather.
