Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

If you are a compulsive completer, as I often am, you may find yourself filling in the chart below automatically, in the language of mathematics: perhaps the most universal of all human languages (and maybe of alien languages, if we ever make contact with non-human intelligent life?).

Languages, both external (or, between people, i.e. French) and internal (aka “love languages” for each person), are a set of forms of knowledge that all Adult citizens of any democratic nation or movement must learn anew, continually, just as with mathematical language:

Mathematical Language is far simpler:

(3 ^ 0)(3 ^3) =(1)(3 cubed) = 3 cubed = 3*3*3 = 27

dewdrops in the morning mist…

Develop. Inspire. Transform.

I picked up
a sunflower once, and
twirled it betwixt my fingers,
in-between blades of grass
it did linger

taller than eyes can dance,
like romance,
sometimes askew, and sometimes
askance

delivering love
in the subtlest forms, like
tasting sunlight on your lips,
burnt amber and orange crisp,
a dewdrop in the morning mist…

I hope this holiday season continues to be a lovely one for each of you. May you, your friends, and your families experience peace, joy, love, and many blessings. I appreciate each of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being here, and for supporting me. Sending you all my love.

Just A Couple Of Short Snippets … 🥱

Filosofa's Word

Today I managed to fold a load of laundry, rinse a container of raspberries, chop cabbage for coleslaw, and tidy the kitchen.  That said, I might have done more than my body wished, for tonight I am a bit shaky and very tired, so this will be a short post with only a few very short snippets.  Hopefully I can do better tomorrow!

The headline in The Washington Post read: “The demise of BBB comes at a dark moment for Democrats”.  But that is wrong … it is not only a dark moment for Democrats, but rather for every man, woman and child in the U.S. who doesn’t have the benefit of being wealthy.  Senator Joe Manchin from West Virginia single-handedly killed a bill that would have helped millions of people in the coming year, many of whom live in his own state, the second poorest state in the…

To Fight Omicron, Biden Plans Aid From Military and 500 Million Tests – The New York Times

President Biden will announce new steps on Tuesday to confront a staggering surge in coronavirus cases, including readying 1,000 military medical professionals to help at overburdened hospitals, setting up new federal testing sites, deploying hundreds of federal vaccinators and buying 500 million rapid tests to distribute free to the public.

The measures, outlined to reporters Monday night by two senior administration officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, come as coronavirus caseloads are rapidly rising around the country, particularly in the Northeast, fueled by the highly infectious new Omicron variant — just as Americans prepare to gather for Christmas.

The 500 million tests that the administration intends to purchase will not be available until January, the senior officials said, adding that the government intends to create a website where people can request that tests be sent to their homes, free of charge. It was not immediately clear where the tests would come from.

Baalbek, Liban – Baalbek, Lebanon — Myrela
