Südsee-Impressionen

Was only in Tahiti for 16 hours on a fueling stop for our ship from Los Angeles to Wellington, NZ. What a delight it was.

Arizona governor OK’s ban on school COVID-19 vaccines | The Daily Independent at YourValley.net (Me: Full blown crazy – GOP still wants more people to die from Covid to satisfy fake political rage of Covidiots and QAnon)

Arizona’s Republican governor has signed legislation that will prevent state health officials from ever adding a COVID-19 vaccine to the list of required school inoculations and bar face mask mandates in any buildings operated by state or local governments.

The two coronavirus bills signed by Gov. Doug Ducey on Friday would permanently block disease mitigation measures that health professionals say are critical to reining in the coronavirus pandemic if case counts again surge or the virus mutates and becomes more deadly to children.

The ban on face masks in libraries, courthouses and other public buildings could also affect efforts to stem the spread of a new airborne illness. Ducey’s office released no comment from the governor when it announced late Friday afternoon that he had signed the two bills along with 18 others.

Lesson Day 12, Cooperation, and Signatures

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

This week’s lesson plan is Day 12 of 67, from my GED in 5 month plan set.   This lesson on cooperation, using the example of Medieval Andalucia during the time of La Convivencia (link to a cited Yale article in Lesson Day 5 plan…), seems especially apt right now.

I’ve also decided that I like my old  “sig”   john_hancock_envelope_signature  enough to change it:

Support our key #PublicDomainInfrastructure  & #StopSmoking for CCOVID-19:
1. #PublicLibraries,
2. #ProBono legal aid and Education,
3. #UniversalHealthCare, and
4. good #publictransport

Now it no longer references Twit, but it still may be a distraction if I add it to my three link signature at the bottom of my posts.  Thoughts?

I look forward to hearing your opinions, Thoughtful Readers.

We can really  Do Better.

Are Attacks Actually Confessions? — A Church for Starving Artists — Barbara Crane Navarro

Most South American countries were founded on the Great Replacement Theory, just like the USA… as were Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. It looks like the current divides in our world have something to do with history. I once got into a conversation with a friend who was loudly complaining about people on welfare. As […]

History Slam 214: Indigenous Voices, Resources, & Learning in Canadian Classrooms — Active History — Barbara Crane Navarro

By Sean Graham In its final report, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission included several Calls to Action regarding education. One of these was to develop and implement learning resources for all students in Canada so that more Indigenous voices, perspectives, and approaches were included in provincial and territorial curricula. As we’ve seen, however, some efforts… History […]
