Amazon Repeatedly Violated Union-Busting Labor Laws, ‘Historic’ NLRB Complaint Says

This is not the first time the NLRB has accused Amazon of engaging in union-busting tactics and audio of one of the captive audience meetings was previously leaked to Motherboard, in which Amazon representatives referred workers to anti-union websites, disparaged the Amazon Labor Union, and misled employees about unions are.

The NLRB has asked Amazon to post a notice about workers’ union rights under the National Labor Relations Act in all of its Staten Island facilities, including all bathrooms and individual bathroom stalls, and send the same message to all employees via text message, email, social media, and the internal Voice of Associates board. The labor board is also asking Amazon to read the notice aloud in front of all employees at JFK8 and schedule mandatory training sessions for all supervisors, managers, and anti-union consultants on workers’ union rights, and to submit an attendance list to the board.

Amazon will now have the opportunity to settle with the NLRB. If a settlement is not reached, the case will go to trial before an administrative judge.

Unprecedented water restrictions hit Southern California – Los Angeles Times

More than 97% of the state is now under severe, extreme or exceptional drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Many of the region’s most critical reservoirs are at half capacity or less.

Six agencies that receive water from MWD will be affected by the rules: the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the Inland Empire Utilities Agency, the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, Calleguas Municipal Water District, Three Valleys Municipal Water District and Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District.

Each agency is taking a slightly different approach to achieving the required reduction, meaning there is a patchwork of rules across the region. Most are focusing their restrictions on outdoor watering since it accounts for roughly half of all urban water use.

And while MWD’s new drought rules are aimed primarily at urban users, officials have acknowledged that the vast majority of the state’s water that is used by humans goes toward agriculture — as much as 80%. Many farmers this year were put on notice that they, too, will receive limited allocations from state and federal suppliers.

A minha pressa

Coisas da SIL

Não tenho medo
E assim
Me rasquei falando pra você.

É tão edificante expor
É constrangedor sentir dor
E mais ainda dor de amor.

Ele sabe me ouvir
É atencioso e não ousa fingir.
É observador, não muito questionador.

Posso ouvi -lo por horas e horas
Mas ele me prefere ouvir.
Falar falar até me cansar.

Eu gosto da sua risada, da sua fala malhada
Que me deixa as vezes sem graça.
Eu sou mas tagarela tá cara
mas ele me acha uma graça.

Não penso mais no fim
Porque agora por hora
Já esqueço a demora
Posso tentar me.conter
Em um.dia quem sabe
Poderei viver…
A sua espera…
A minha pressa.

My rush

I’m not afraid and I scratched myself talking to you.

It is as edifying exposing is embarrassing to feel pain and even more pain of love.

He knows how to hear me…
