A better life
We are not granted to have a special life. Our life will be better if we live it by understanding ourselves, achieving our purpose, and helping others.

I have found quite early, and quite hardly, that we are not given a special life. We are supposed to make something out of it, creating our own definition of success, fulfillment, purpose, and happiness.
We must create our own definition of success, fulfillment, purpose, and happiness
Raffaello Palandri – Free to Achieve, 2019
Yet, those definitions are meant to be lived by, not just stated.
And when you understand who you really are, then you also understand that we are entangled with every other living being in this Universe.
So, a wise, effective, long-lasting way to live a better life is to help others.
And you? Which was your life epiphany?

“Right” To Dine???
You may have heard that a crowd of peaceful protesters gathered outside a restaurant where Justice Kavanaugh was dining one evening recently. Now, I don’t approve of threats of violence under any circumstances, but from what I can gather, there were none … this was a peaceful protest. Actions have consequences, and when you make a decision that is life-altering (not in any good way) for more than half the population, I think you have to expect that people will make their displeasure known in whatever way they can. In fact, one section of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution reads …
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Amid teacher crisis, Abbott directs billions to failed border campaign
Here’s a question: What is the most pressing need in Texas: improve teacher funding and work conditions as thousands of educators abandon the profession, or continue to fund Operation Lone Star in an effort to usurp the federal government’s mission of policing the Texas-Mexico border?
It’s a multi-billion-dollar question, with the future of the state’s post-pandemic public school system at stake. So far, Gov. Greg Abbott has spent $4 billion in mostly unbudgeted funds on Operation Lone Star, with a U.S. Treasury Department investigation underway into whether he misappropriated $1 billion in federal pandemic relief funds for the border effort.
Perryman Group economists estimated the cost of Abbott’s April order halting border truck traffic in order to subject northbound tractor-trailers to enhanced searches cost the state more than $4 billion in lost economic activity. The week-long operation stalled traffic at all Texas-Mexico crossings, while failing to intercept smuggled migrants or illegal drug shipments.
