Copernico raises money from investors to install and manage solar installations. They focus on institutions that benefit society and already have 33 installations around the country: kindergartens, churches, homes for people with disabilities, hospitals, and even homes.

The customers get the solar panels for free and still save money on energy.
“Not only have we radically reduced our own electricity bills, we also earn around €5,000 ($5,290) a year with the energy that we feed back into the public grid,” said Luis Besugo from the aid organization APPACDM. The group looks after people with disabilities and also runs kindergartens in the greater Lisbon area.

Investors earn three percent, better than bank saving instruments, but far below typical investments. Despite that, they have no problem finding investors.

I last played this one almost three years ago and, struggling for an idea tonight at nearly 3:00 a.m., I thought it a good one to redux because … because … well, the one I thought about doing just would not have worked out at all, which left me flailing in a black void as I was about 3 years ago and …

Oddly, I had no song in my head tonight. I always have a song in my head, for Pete’s sake, even if it’s nothing more than the theme to the Rugrats cartoon show! But tonight, I think possibly because of extreme angst brought on by reading the news for several hours today, I had no song … all the music had been chased away by the bad guys. Well, I just won’t do a music post, then. I’ll go take a shower and work…

For decades, the 82-year-old has kept his experiences as a migrant farmworker in the bracero program a secret from all but close family members. The father of four felt ashamed to tell his children — Fausto, Hector Hugo, Dora Luz and Jesús Manuel — about the indignities and abuses by unscrupulous bosses that he endured without ever filing a complaint. His children knew only that their father had been a farmworker.
Now a widower, with a damaged back, arthritic knees and a treadmill as his constant companion, he wants to play whatever role he can in exposing, and ending, the long history of racism, wage theft and mistreatment that many farmworkers experienced between the early 1940s and the mid-’60s.

Due to the high demand for the vaccine for the age group six months to five years old, the Northampton Department of Public Health is opening up more time slots so they can get those children vaccinated.
“We want to get those young children vaccinated,” said Dr. John Kelley of Redwood Pediatrics.
In June, the FDA approved to give the COVID-19 vaccine to children in the age group six months to five years old.

Good Monday morning once again! Why does it always seem that Monday comes ‘round faster than, say Friday? At any rate, I hope you all had a good weekend with a bit of fun included along the way. We mostly stayed in this weekend … the girls went out shopping for some baby things for our friend Maha who is due to deliver a baby girl next month, but I stayed home where the air is a little more breathable. Joyful first said she wasn’t cooking this morning due to the heat, but then when I smelled food and meandered into the kitchen, she told me to “GET OUT!” … so I’m not sure what’s on the table this morning, but let’s go see, shall we?
