Last Early Draft Outlines: the later years of Phase III

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

This post is, though the book is now done,  the rough draft of  Chapter 10, section III. A. of my non-fiction WiP, Baby Floors.   This part of chapter 9 will introduce the later years of mapping out a path to get there for Phase III.

The overall objective remains that of putting a floor on poverty so that each and every baby born can have a safe childhood.

I was posting rough draft sections in order to compare with later drafts, but now I see that posting too much of the rough draft is just tiring, so this will be my last, unless I have scheduled some that I may miss.   I’ll be concentrating on drafting my novel in progress, Who By Fire, so this may get lost, and I ask your indulgence, Thoughtful Readers, if it does.

Once again, by way of disclaimer, the overall goal…

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

♫ True ♫ (Redux)

Filosofa's Word

As I was working on my ‘good people’ post late last night, this song kept going through my head.  Needless to say, I couldn’t remember the lyrics, but remembered a snippet … “I bought a ticket to the world …”, so Google helped me come up with the title and group.  AHA!  I thought.  One I haven’t featured here before!  But just to be sure, I checked the archives and … DAMN!  I played this one a couple of years ago.  But, as I listened to it, I found it does something to me … it brings a smile and a nice, happy feeling.  So, you get to hear it again!

True was composed by group leader Gary Kemp, who wrote the song at his parents’ house while living there. It is a song that in part pays tribute to the Motown artist Marvin Gaye, who is mentioned in the…

Biden administration will stop buying Covid-19 vaccines, treatments and tests as early as this fall, Jha says – CNN (Me: you gotta be wrong on this – I want my taxes to protect me not for-profit drug companies and pharmacies!!!)

“My hope is that in 2023, you’re going to see the commercialization of almost all of these products. Some of that is actually going to begin this fall, in the days and weeks ahead. You’re going to see commercialization of some of these things,” he said.
Availability of those products would transition to the regular health-care system, Jha said, so if you need a vaccine or an antiviral treatment, you’d get it from your doctor or from a hospital.

How much virus does a person with COVID exhale? New research has answers

This research showed that all three of those variants that have won the infection race … come out of the body more efficiently when people talk or shout than the earliest strains of the coronavirus,” says John Volckens, a public-health engineer at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Study co-author Kristen Coleman, who researches emerging infectious diseases at the University of Maryland in College Park, says this means that people should be “pushing governments to invest in improving indoor air quality by improving ventilation and filtration systems”…

The team found that participants infected with the Alpha, Delta and Omicron variants emitted significantly more viral RNA when exhaling than did people infected with other variants. These include ancestral variants, such as the one first detected in Wuhan, China, and those not associated with increased transmissibility — such as Gamma, which arose in late 2020. For participants with Delta and Omicron, their fine aerosol contained on average five times the amount of virus that was detected in their larger, coarse aerosol.
