Il cielo è grigio e il vento inaridisce
gli occhi e il cuore è un frutto
che pencola grinzoso
da un ramo senza linfa che lo disseti.
Cosa dirò alle pareti
che mi guardano mi sormontano
addensano su me sogni e paure?
Pensieri confusi
mi circondano e m’intimoriscono
come specchi che mi mostrano
un uomo in compagnia della solitudine.
Tornerò bambino chiuderò gli occhi
mi comprimerò le palpebre
con le unghia per non vedere
le ombre alle pareti
che si strusciano alle mie radici
perché vogliono quel frutto
che pencola grinzoso dal ramo inaridito.
È il solo bene che posseggo
e che mi tiene in vita barcollando
cercando una sorgente
in cui bagnare le mie mani e i polsi
perché – mi dicono le ombre –
bere è troppo per un uomo solo.
