Israeli minister says ‘no such things as Palestinians | PNN (Me: Unacceptable attitude and words…)

“There is no such thing as a Palestinian nation. There is no Palestinian history. There is no Palestinian language,” he claimed on Sunday.

His remarks were met with applause and cheers from the crowd.

This isn’t the first time Smotrich makes horrible remarks about Palestinians. Two weeks ago, he said that Huwara, a town in the northern West Bank, must be “wiped out.”

The US State Department condemned Smotrich’s comments and said the remarks were “repugnant, irresponsible and disgusting.”

US State Department spokesman Ned Price called on Netanyahu and other top officials to “publicly and clearly” disavow Smotrich’s comments.

“I want to be very clear about this. These comments were irresponsible. They were repugnant. They were disgusting,” Price told reporters last week.

He added that Smotrich’s “provocative” remarks “amount to incitement to violence.”

Raffaello Palandri's Blog

March 20th is the International Day of Happiness, let’s celebrate it!!

The purpose of this day is to recognize the importance and the value of happiness in one’s personal and professional life, as well as to create awareness around happiness.

The General Assembly of the United Nations passed a resolution on 12 July 2012 and proclaimed 20 March the International Day of Happiness.

Let’s try together a quick and easy exercise to follow the guidelines for this day:

  1. Be mindful: take a break from your activities, find a calm, silent place, and start taking deep, abdominal breaths. Inhale from…

Which states have committed to 100% renewable/clean energy?

Darcy Hitchcock

As with so many things in politics, subtle nuances matter. Are climate initiatives framed as requirements, goals or executive orders?

Minnesota just passed a law requiring the state to source 100 percent renewable or “carbon free” energy by 2040.

Governors of some states like New Jersey have passed executive orders, but what one governor giveth, the next can taketh away.

The legislation, signed by Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday, means Minnesota joins a group of 10 states (California, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington) plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, in having laws that require a transition to 100 percent carbon-free or renewable electricity.

Yet others (Maine, Nevada) have passed laws that set goals. Maybe they’ll meet them, maybe they won’t.
