Eure Herzen kennen in Stille die Geheimnisse der Tage und Nächte.
Aber deine Ohren dürsten nach dem Klang des Wissens deines Herzens.
Du würdest in Worten das erfahren, was du schon immer in Gedanken gewusst hast.
Du würdest mit deinen Fingern den nackten Körper deiner Träume berühren.
Und das ist gut so.
Die verborgene Quelle deiner Seele muss unbedingt aufsteigen und murmelnd zum Meer fließen;
Und der Schatz deiner unendlichen Tiefe würde sich deinen Augen offenbaren.
Aber benutze keine Waage, um deinen unbekannten Schatz zu wiegen;
Und erforsche nicht die Tiefe deines Wissens mit Stab oder Lot.
Denn das Selbst ist ein grenzenloses und unermessliches Meer.
Sage nicht: „Ich habe die Wahrheit gefunden“, sondern: „Ich habe eine Wahrheit gefunden.“
Sage nicht: „Ich habe den Weg der Seele gefunden.“ Sage lieber: „Ich bin der Seele begegnet, die auf meinem Weg ging.“

Denn die Seele geht auf allen Wegen.

Escrever é comunicar. Mas não é só comunicar, falar, dizer; expressar o que vive de ” fora para dentro”. Escrever é sobretudo, persuadir, convencer, articular, fazer as outras pessoas acreditarem naquilo que você considerar. Quem escreve, cria, adianta uma idea – transmite conhecimento ao outro. Evidentemente que, o indivíduo gasta horas naquilo que se propõe a fazer com cuidado e responsabilidade. Porém, nesse ato de insistir, digo ” criar, procurar transmitir conhecimento, comunicar as suas ideas ao mundo, ele faz a ruptura de uma visão normal das coisas, porque ajuda o outro a questionar, no caso, vou citar aqui, o leitor. O leitor ao pensar por si próprio, ele faz os questionamentos necessários sobre aquilo que concorda, se isto é certou ou não. O que faz ” com isto ou aquilo”. – e não só isso, na maioria das vezes, o escritor, leva as pessoas às lágrimas. Ora, quem nunca…

Wear Orange Day — A Day Late!

Although I initially wrote this post in 2021, this is the 2nd year in a row that I nearly forgot until reminded by our friend Larry over at Just Drive, Will You who posted yesterday, on the actual day, reminding me — and now I’m a day late!  But, better late than never, right?   Today, I think this post, this National Day, is more relevant than ever, given that gun violence, and especially mass shootings, have become the norm, not the anomaly.


I typically make fun of all the ‘national days’ … I mean, there are some thoroughly ridiculous ones like National Lima Bean Respect Day, National Rat Catcher’s Day, and National Talk In An Elevator Day.  However, there are a few of the national days that are worthy of being honoured, and today is one such day:  National Gun Violence Awareness Day, also known as Wear Orange Day.  I’ve…
