Italy begins stripping lesbian mothers of their parental rights – LGBTQ Nation (Me: Fascism anew in Italy)

In conjunction with its crackdown on the rights of same-sex parents, the Italian government has begun retroactively stripping same-sex parents of their legal connection to their children.

Michela Leidi told the Daily Mail that she “cried for ten days” after receiving a letter informing her she would be removed from her daughter’s birth certificate. “It was as if I did not exist.”

Norway bans behavioural ads on Facebook and Instagram

“Invasive commercial surveillance for marketing purposes is one of the biggest risks to data protection on the internet today. Users must have sufficient control over their own data, and any tracking must be limited” said Tobias Judin, head of Datatilsynet’s International Sector. In NJ, AAPI students find community and exclusion among segregated schools – Gothamist

New Jersey has some of the most segregated schools in the nation. A 2017 report by the Civil Rights Project at UCLA found the state’s schools were the sixth most segregated for Black students, and the seventh for Latino students. Activists and educators alike say when students from marginalized communities don’t have access to diverse educational environments, they suffer, finding fewer opportunities to advance, to go on to college and to wind up in good jobs.

Those issues are at the heart of a lawsuit that could find the state’s public schools are unconstitutionally segregated, and make lawmakers responsible for finding solutions. It’s an issue deeply intertwined with housing policy — because in New Jersey, with its roughly 600 school districts, where you live closely determines where you go to school.

500,000 Texans have lost Medicaid coverage since April | The Texas Tribune (Me: Abbott’s mismanagement and hate killing Texans who need help!)

Half a million Texans have lost their Medicaid coverage since April, mostly for procedural reasons like not responding to messages from the state. Preliminary data, released Friday by the state’s Health and Human Services Commission, paints a grim picture of Texas’ early efforts to redetermine Medicaid eligibility for the first time since COVID-19 hit three years ago.

Hiltzik: RFK Jr., anti-vaxxer and antisemite – Los Angeles Times

It has been well noted that, whatever their starting points, conspiracy theorists sooner or later get around to blaming the Jews.

During a press dinner in New York last week, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is hoping to convert his portfolio of chuckleheaded conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and all sorts of other things into the semblance of a presidential campaign, went there last week.

“We’ve put hundreds of millions of dollars into ethnically targeted microbes,” he said, delivering his spiel to dining companions who heard him out with increasingly evident discomfiture. “In fact, COVID-19 — there’s an argument that it is ethnically targeted…. COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.”

Ein Dienstagslächeln …A Tuesday smile

Stella, oh, Stella

Ein ernsthaftes, leichtes Märchen … mit einem guten Ende, natürlich … und vielleicht ein wenig “die Geister die ich rief …”?

… An earnest, light fairytale … with a happy ending, of course … and maybe a bit of “the spirits that I called …”?

Wie gut, dass es ein Märchen ist, sonst könnte es uns an etwas erinnern … und wirklich, die Damen, mitten im Ozean auf einem Holzgestell? Okay, okay, Märchen … 😉

… How nice that it is a fairytale, otherwise we could be reminded of something … and really, Ladies, in the middle of an ocean on a wooden structure? Okay, okay, fairytale … 😉
