Tens of thousands of Israelis attend Rabin memorial rally

Tens of thousands of Israelis, along with former US President Bill Clinton, marked the 20th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin on Saturday night, gathering in the Tel Aviv square where he was gunned down.

”What is the most important thing your dad taught you?” ”That even though we are still young we are able to make a difference and help other people in need.” Joaquin and his daughter Kyra and his son Toby are volunteers who welcome refugees arriving at the Central Station. Every night international trains with refugees arrive and volunteers wait for them at the platforms to make sure they do not get lost. Officer Randolph Holder Is Buried in His Native Guyana – The New York Times

Officer Holder, who was shot and killed on Oct. 20 chasing a suspect in Manhattan, was given the kind of ceremony usually reserved for public officials. Guyana’s president, David Granger, attended, and the mayor of Georgetown, Hamilton Green, offered brief remarks. Lisa Punch, a singer who was recently crowned Miss Guyana, paid tribute with a song called “One Last Time.”
