“The Only Good Muslim Is a Dead Muslim” | New Republic “Trump Supporters over the edge”

Curtis Allen, who had served in Iraq and returned with PTSD, sank into a hatred of Muslims. He worked at a tire shop in his hometown of Ashland for a while before drifting west to Liberal, where he fell in with a series of militia groups. He also met Wright, who had gone from working at a meatpacking plant to selling mobile homes to house the influx of new immigrants. Last summer, when Allen planted a MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN sign in front of his mobile home, his neighbors—most of them Hispanic immigrants—couldn’t help but notice. Allen told them he was angry at Muslims. He allegedly voiced outrage over the Muslim terror attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando and was angry that “Crooked Hillary” was “openly running on disarming the American people.” He told another neighbor that the Somalis at the National Beef packing plant in Liberal were “taking all our jobs” and needed to be gotten rid of.What his neighbors didn’t know was that Allen was getting ready to put his words into action. The FBI had a decision to make. Patrick Stein, the unofficial leader of the Crusaders, was scheduled to meet with an undercover agent the day after Allen was arrested. Believing that the agent was a crime boss who had experience building massive bombs using cell phones as remote-control triggers, Stein had arranged the meeting to discuss payment in the form of cash and methamphetamines. But now that Allen was in jail, there was a chance that Stein would be too spooked to show. Should agents wait to see if he stuck to the meet, or arrest him and Wright immediately?Allen’s girlfriend told agents that Allen had been learning to manufacture explosives by studying videos on YouTube. At G&G, she had watched him stir up hydrogen peroxide and fuel tablets to make hexamethylene triperoxide diamine—a common homemade explosive used to make blasting caps to detonate larger bombs. The Crusaders already had the means to detonate a large blast, but not reliably, and apparently only if they were willing to serve as suicide bombers. During an exchange of text messages to set up the meeting, the undercover agent had asked Stein what weapons the group was hoping to acquire. “High explosives,” Stein replied, “automatic weapons RPG shit brother if I could get a hold of a warthog or Apache helicopter I would be after that too.” The Crusaders, it appeared, had more ambition than actual firepower. The FBI decided not to arrest Stein or Wright, gambling that they still believed Allen was being held only for domestic abuse.

Senator Busted Having Sex With His Cousin In True GOP Fashion (DETAILS)

It was also discovered during his cousin’s divorce trial that Hensley was allegedly prescribing opioids to his cousin. The senator was then said to have pointed out that there is nothing illegal about subscribing opioid prescriptions to your patient/cousin/lover.This man definitely has some strange family values and is a sad excuse for not only a senator, but a family physician.

Young People: You Didn’t Vote, And Now You Protest? | Inter Press Service

Bernie Sanders’ run was based on 2 million votes from the 19-24 age group – voters who basically abandoned the elections after his loss in the primaries. Young people’s abstention rate, close to 67 percent, made the Millennials equivalent to the Silent Generation, and lost its demographic advantage. Millennials had a favorable view of Sanders at 54 percent, against 37 percent of Clinton. Just 17 percent of young people had a positive view of Trump.Had only millennials voted, Clinton would have won the election in a landslide, with 473 electoral votes to Trump’s 32.

Inoreader – Tuesday Open Thread | Here’s what we do if GOP refuses to impeach Donald Trump for giving classified intel to the Russians

We take over every town hall that every Republican in Congress holds from here on out. When it comes to the cowards who refuse to hold town halls, we peacefully march on their offices in Washington DC. We occupy the National Mall out front of the Capitol, or wherever else we can get permits. We use every legal means possible to take over DC, to the point that nothing happens until these coward Republicans realize their careers are over in 2018 if they don’t do something about Trump now.

Is There a Point in Trying to Engage in a Dialogue With Your Oppressor? | Dame Magazine

Despite the anger of the president, who threatened the students with expulsion from their own graduation ceremony, the students stood as a group and turned their back on DeVos, indicating that they were both unwilling to listen to her and they did not recognize her right to speak to them. The students were absolutely right to do this: What is the point of trying to engage in dialogue with people who will not even recognize your basic rights to exist?

Donald Trump Defends Sharing Information With Russia – The New York Times

Mr. Trump’s tweets on Tuesday morning appeared to undercut the carefully worded statements made by his advisers on Monday night that attempted to dispute the original story without taking issue with specific facts in it. Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson said in a statement that the president “did not discuss sources, methods or military operations” with the Russians. Mr. Trump’s national security adviser, H. R. McMaster, likewise told reporters that Mr. Trump had not disclosed intelligence methods or sources.

In Computer Attacks, Clues Point to Frequent Culprit: North Korea – The New York Times New Slant to get news off #TraitorTrump?

The indicators are far from conclusive, the researchers warned, and it could be weeks, if not months, before investigators are confident enough in their findings to officially point the finger at Pyongyang’s increasingly bold corps of digital hackers. The attackers based their weapon on vulnerabilities that were stolen from the National Security Agency and published last month.Security experts at Symantec, which in the past has accurately identified attacks mounted by the United States, Israel and North Korea, found early versions of the ransomware, called WannaCry, that used tools that were also deployed against Sony Pictures Entertainment, a Bangladesh Central Bank last year and Polish banks in February. American officials said Monday that they had seen the same similarities. All of those attacks were ultimately linked to North Korea; President Barack Obama formally charged the North in late 2014 with destroying computers at Sony in retaliation for a comedy, “The Interview,” that envisioned a C.I.A. plot to kill Kim Jong-un, the country’s president.
