The Virus Blame Game

In Saner Thought

Closing Thought–08Apr20

Donald the Orange keeps doing what he does best…..avoid responsibility and blame others for his lack of action…..the Covid-19 is the perfect illustration……

Trump has blamed many for the rise of the virus…the media, governors, Dems and now he is blaming the World Health Organization (WHO)…..he has threatened to withhold funding……

President Trump on Tuesday threatened to freeze US funding to the World Health Organization, saying the international group had “missed the call” on the coronavirus pandemic. Trump also played down the release of January memos from a senior adviser that represented an early warning of a possible coronavirus pandemic, saying he had not seen them at the time. But he turned his anger on the WHO, first declaring that he would cut off US funding for the organization, then backtracking and saying he would “strongly consider” such a move, the AP reports. Politicians Call for Fewer Climate Protections During Coronavirus Crisis

Duh? Disregarding the tie between pollution and severity of Covid-10

How did this coronavirus start? It probably came from bats, but how and why? – Science – ABC News

“Human interactions with live animals make a host jump more likely to occur,” Dr Geoghegan said, and live animal markets are a massive source of these interactions. “These locations can act as mixing pots, and you can have animals defecating, urinating, they’re stressed maybe, you’re bringing together the different species that may not be together,” Professor Hayman said. “And if hand hygiene and stuff like that isn’t optimal, then this is where you have the opportunity for an infection to go from one species to another, and that includes humans.” Dr Field said live animal markets are an absolute recipe for that kind of thing to happen. “You’ve got this mixing of species and this potential mixing of viruses in these animals that are under stress, sick and dying as they’ve gone from their wild environment to the market.”

But first……

Hydroxychloroquine is in a class of drugs called antimalarials. It is used to prevent and treat acute attacks of malaria. It is also used to treat discoid or systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis in patients whose symptoms have not improved with other treatments.

Hydroxychloroquine comes as a tablet to take by mouth. For prevention of malaria in adults, two tablets are usually taken once a week on exactly the same day of each week. The first dose is taken 1 to 2 weeks before traveling to an area where malaria is common, and then doses…

RSF calls on Trump to end attacks on journalists, encourages news outlets to assess coverage of COVID-19 briefings | RSF

After abandoning the daily press briefing for more than a year, the White House decided to conduct daily COVID-19 task force briefings once the pandemic swept through the United States. President Trump has, however, exploited these briefings for political gain and attacked at least eight journalists from NBC, ABC, FOX, CNN, PBS and CBS since the briefings started airing daily
