Grant Shapps backs Dominic Cummings over lockdown breach

It’s pretty simple, he broke the government’s lock down policy while tens of thousands in same situation complied. It’s clear that he thought he was exempt from the policy or above it – he is/was not!

‘In moments of crisis, we seek to have our family around us,’ says transport secretary

The transport secretary, Grant Shapps, has defended the behaviour of Downing Street aide Dominic Cummings, who drove from London to Durham during the lockdown, saying: “In moments of crisis, we seek to have our family around us.”

Cummings travelled to his parents’ property at a time when he believed he may have been infected with Covid-19.

Trump Administration Backpedals on Official Claim of ‘About 95,000’ U.S. Coronavirus Deaths, Believes Number is Lower

Health officials have repeatedly warned that could mean the actual death toll is likely to be higher than the official count, as opposed to lower.

Earlier this week, a new study published by Columbia University found that up to 54,000 lives could have been saved had the U.S. implemented social distancing measures and locked down metropolitan areas from the beginning of March

But last week, President Trump said he accepted the official toll and that he expected at least 95,000 people to die from coronavirus in the U.S, but that the figure could reach 100,000.

Safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of a recombinant adenovirus type-5 vectored COVID-19 vaccine: a dose-escalation, open-label, non-randomised, first-in-human trial – The Lancet

Many vaccine candidates are in rapid development, including recombinant-protein based vaccines, replicating or non-replicating viral vector-based vaccines, DNA vaccines, and mRNA vaccines (which mostly have focused on the spike glycoprotein or receptor binding domain), live attenuated vaccines, and inactivated virus vaccines. All of these vaccine platforms have advantages and disadvantages, and it is too soon to predict which will be more successful. Our study suggests that there is potential for further investigation of the Ad5 vectored COVID-19 vaccine for prevention of COVID-19.

Coronavirus Updates: Trump Says Houses Of Worship Are Essential And Must Open “Right Now” – Gothamist (Faux-savior comments to deflect people from seeing how many his actions have killed)

After the president’s remarks, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany “said the decision to reopen based on the new federal guidance is “up to the governors.’

The CDC also published a detailed report about how an Arkansas church was the center of an outbreak: “Among 92 attendees at a rural Arkansas church during March 6–11, 35 (38%) developed laboratory-confirmed COVID-19, and three persons died. Highest attack rates were in persons aged 19–64 years (59%) and ≥65 years (50%). An additional 26 cases linked to the church occurred in the community, including one death.”

This past week, two churches, one in Georgia and one in Texas, were forced to close after parishioners tested positive for coronavirus.

Donald Trump’s cries about ‘Obamagate’ are a ploy to distract the media from the coronavirus – ABC News

Let’s be clear; this entire theory is a diversion, a predictable move from the Trump political playbook.

When the daily media cycle is going against them, it’s often easily upended with an inflammatory tweet or outrageous press conference.
